Seatbelt Belts

The two of us have been working together in our upholstery business since we first got together, back in the early 80s. But I've always wanted to be an inventor, so a few years ago we started shifting from upholstery to making and selling the things we invented. I'd invented the seat belt belt way back in the 80's, when I was working on some car seats, and needed a belt to hold up my jeans. I couldn't get much work done, because I had to keep using one hand to hold them up! There was some leftover seatbelt strap around, and I was ready to put a piece of it thru my belt loops and tie it, just so I could get some work done, when I realized I could put one of the car seatbelt buckles on it. Rather than just sewing it in place, I figured I could just fasten it with some snaps I had left from a boat job and it would be adjustable. I put them a few inches apart so moving the snap adjusted the belt 1 inch, and it worked great! After I made it, I wore it all the time, and my friends would see it and say "That's cool! Can you make one for me?" and it just kept growing from there. Now we have several inventions, and we work mostly selling them on eBay, and Amazon. (But especially the belts.) Our latest thing is I figured out how to install the bottle cap of any soda or beer you want as the belt buckle's push-button release! People love wearing their favorite drink on their seat belt buckle, and mixing and matching all the belt colors with the interchangeable buckles is soo fun! That has led me into the world of bottle cap collecting, because there are so many cool ones from all over the world that make such awesome belt buckles! There's NFL teams, Fido Dido, Harley bikes, Orca killer whale and other animals, clowns, just too many to say here! So far we have over 400 different ones! Now we sell our belts and buckles (and some of our other inventions) on eBay and on Amazon, whichever you like better, so come by anytime you like and check them out!
