My Interests

Music:

Basically anytype... I try to listen to Korean music when I am driving so to keep up the language. Pretty good stuff coming out from there... At home to relax, definitely classical or jazz. Ludwig is my favorite composer, Miles Davis and Coltrane are jazz favs, YoYoMa is my cello idol. At clubs, probably hiphop. Not really into techno or trance as much as I used to be...

Movies:

God, too many to list... Seven Samurai, Citizen Kane, Shanghai Express, Doctor Zivago, JSA, Musa, A Better Tomorrow, Hard Boiled, To Kill A Mocking Bird, etc, etc... From the recent movies I saw: Munich, LOTR, Brokeback Mountain, Hustle and Flow, Cinderalla Man, City of God, etc... Recent movie I hated: Chronicles of Narnia. It sucked. Really, really sucked. CS Lewis would have hated it too.

Television:

Getting into History, Discovery and The Learning Channel. Don't have time to get into any the popular shows right now. They are great because they have really interesting stuff. I am particularly into historical shows. However, a bit tired of WWII stuff. The re-runs I do watch are Seinfeld and Simpsons.

Books:

Am getting into biographies for some reason. I used to think that you should live your own life instead of reading about others'. However, the biography John Adams really impressed me. I thought that it was very well written and that the correspondances he kept up through life was amazing. My all time favorite books (the ones I remember off-hand right now) are: Siddartha, Catcher in the Rye, A Portrait of An Artist as a Young Man, Dubliners, poems of Sylvia Plath, The Waste Land, Yeats' poems, N and G, War and Peace, A Million Plateaus, The Lord of the Rings, Screwtape Letters, The City of God, The Confessions, Of Genealogy of Morals, America, Poems of William Carlos Williams, etc...

Heroes:

My parents. No question about it. If I can be half of what they are, I will consider myself a success.
