About Me

People who know me best say I'm a mess because I'm crazy with a down-to-earth sense of humor. I'm a loving, adventuresome, raw, real, strong, Christian woman with a low tolerance level for b.s. An author and mom of two daughters (and two grandchildren), I was recently led by the Holy Spirit to relocate from Santa Rosa, California (where I was born and raised), which is located 60 miles north of San Francisco, to Arlington, Texas, which splits Dallas and Fort Worth by 10 minutes on each side. I am an aspiring television talk show host, so I could definitely use some effectual, fervent prayer of some righteous folk in that area.Oh yeah, and if you're wondering why I have all these young folk as my top friends, it's because they are my relatives and I gotta keep them accessible so I can keep a close eye on their pages to make sure the are being appropriate and safe on myspace. (It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it:).

I'd like to meet:

Having very high standards about those with whom I spend my very valuable time, I would like to meet mature, God-fearing, honest, sincere, considerate, like-minded men and women with senses of humor and who enjoy doing fun things like traveling, dining out, talking on the telephone, rides to the beach, parks, lakes, mountains, movies, concerts, plays, etc.

Music:

Love Old School (ballads), R & B and gospel.

Movies:

I enjoy movies dealing with the African American Culture- The Color Purple, Rosewood, Imitation of Life, Roots, Mandingo, Diary of A Mad Black Woman, Madea's Family Reunion, Daddy's Girls, Set It Off, etc. I also like movies about the rapture (Left Behind, etc.) some horror (Dawn of the Dead), suspense (Skeleton Keys) and tear jerkers (Fried Green Tomatoes).

Television:

I enjoy watching different televangelists. Some of my favorites are T.D. Jakes, my Pastor, Joyce Meyer, Juanita Bynum, Paula White and Creflo Dollar. I do not like missing American Idol and at night, I usually watch a lifetime type of movie, Cheaters, Blind Date and Elimidate. Also, I Love New York.

Books:

My favorite book of all times- and I'm not just saying this to earn brownie points from my Creator- is the Holy Bible because it is so insightful and deep; the foundation for everything, as far as I'm concerned. This is the primary book that I read in order to gain understanding, knowledge and wisdom. I'm into Christian non-fiction books. I'm not into reading about somebody else's romance- trying to find my own.
