J-5 is currently an unsigned artist looking for a deal. In late 2005, 5 thought he got his big break when he signed with multimillion dollar records as part of a rap group GS (Gorilla Soldiers) along with fellow rapper NOX. The label failed to promote the duo efficiently and they never fulfilled their potential. That hasn't stopped 5 from continuing his dream of being an exceptional rap artist. He has continued to put out various mixtapes throughout Jersey, New York, and Pennslyvania. His myspace was created to get him recognized by more than just the people locally and from his hometown. Born September 18th, 1984, 5 was raised in a small drug torn city known as Aliquippa located in western Pennslyvania. He grew up in the projects of Griffith Heights with his mother and four siblings. Using rap to vent from the troubled environment, people took notice of his talent. His explosive tone and lyrics has taken him from Pennsylvania to New Jersey, where he has grown into a promising artist. He is currently working on a new album "THE 5 DOLLA BILL " and released his 1st single "IMA G". 5 has done and continues to do records with DJ CHILL X so make sure your on the look out for various mixtape releases.
