I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

My mother says I am a virgo dragon. That I have lots of friends who won't see me often enough because I am too busy trying to save the world. Funny ha ha.Right now I am taking things in stride. My term with NOWNJ as president ended in December, and I need to take a turn towards another direction. Preferably a direction that isnt scared to death of intelligent young women, technology, and anything else that may be different than "the way things have been." Quite frankly, I am so over the generational differences in the feminist movement I could scream. Ew. yuck. Previous to that I served as the Senior Field Organizer of the National Organization for Women's National Action Center in Washington DC for 2 years, as well as NOW-NJ's Action Vice President. During that time, I worked with Rutgers University to organize, fund, and provide buses to the March for Women's Lives in April, and I am proud to say that the women of Rutgers pulled out the largest campus contingent to the largest march in American history. Before coming to NOW I was a field operative for Strategic Consulting Group, a professional electoral campaign consulting firm specializing in Field and GOTV efforts. Since then, I have worked mostly with campuses, creating and executing huge scale projects on campus for women's rights. Working here is like being a big-sis- mentor to hundreds of college activists who just want someone to believe in them. I smoke, don't sleep, and love all things caffinated. I live with my girlfriend and our two cats in a big purple apartment. Oh. And i am a virgo who thinks too much. :)There is a blur between my personal and professional life. My friends are my activists and my activists are my friends.
