About Me

Girl on fire, otherwise known as She-Beast. I like to get dirty and jump in puddles and knock things over and rip things open. I'm a big, crazy kid that can have a serious side. I'm close with my family and I have and love lots of friends.I go to swap meets and flea markets but I never get anything. I don't like having a lot of stuff or clutter. I don't keep things that aren't useful to me, including yearbooks. I'm nomadic by nature and I change houses at least once a year.I live to dance all night long. I like big family get togethers, no matter if it's a real family or a family of friends. I like being part of commuity, I love being surrounded by people.I'm a former rollergirl, member of the Brewcity Bruisers. My team will always be Maiden Milwaukee. I strongly believe in the movement of roller derby and that ladies can play and excel at sports just as powerfully as menfolk.I'm moving to Alabama in August and am super excited about it. I've never lived outside of Milwaukee. Any of you folks who feel like escaping the cold weather this winter can come on down and visit me there. We've got an extra bedroom, a ginormous deck and yard, and a touch of good old-fashioned Southern hospitality.PS - We live on Gay Street!

My Interests

Seven Mile Fair. It's pretty amazing. Especially the commercial. You know it. It goes "Seven Mile Fair. Seven Mile Fair, Where good taste meets bargains, Seven Mile Fair". It's not my only interest but it gets to be kind of an obsession. Also, I love to sing. I do it constantly. I heart thunderstorms and making up my own words to songs and crossword puzzles and road trips. I enjoy listening to the way that people talk and adjusting to their accents or languages. My current favorite phrases are "knawhadimean" and "helluva". I also really like to pretend I have a Southern accent. On top of all this fascinating stuff, I enjoy playing video games and card games and board games and various outdoor sporting and recreational activities.

I'd like to meet:

some friends in Auburn, Alabama. People who know how to make good BBQ. People that like to set on the porch and watch the hours slip away. Football fanatics. Girls that want to start their own sport. People that like their families. People that have made their own families of non-relatives. People that bring all these people together. Also, I'm very enthused about making friends with the insect, rodent, animal and plant species in Alabama that we don't have here in Milwaukee.

Music:

I like almost everything. I really do. At least I'll give it a shot. What I'm usually listening to if left to my own devices is: KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic DJ Nic Harcourtand your nuts. I like to make my own music too. Ask me to sing you a song I wrote.

Movies:

Secretary. Fifth Element. Breakfast Club. Aladdin. Spaceballs. Gremlins. Top Secret. Herself the Elf. Hairspray (the first one). Cry-Baby. Raunchy foreign films.

Television:

Twin Peaks. Dead Like Me (they are making a movie in 2009). America's Best Dance Crew. Pushing Daisies. Grey's Anatomy. Daily Show.

Books:

Still reading my sister's novel. I've been busy and haven't been reading much lately. This will change shortly.

Heroes:

People who aren't afraid to let their natural talents shine. People who don't let other people make them feel small. People who let their freak flags fly.
