My biggest battlefield is when my reason wages war with my passions.....Currently I am continuing my 15 year foray into live concert production and considering turning that part of my life into artist and /or tour management ............previously I started out playing music in nightclubs and nightspots then added private parties and dabbled in record production.My specialty and my love was telling a story or painting a texture mood or color by applying music and uniting the collective energy of a given crowd.The venues got larger and larger but always had the undercurrent of being more musically and tastefully narrow than my style was capable of delivering and my whole being was being torn apart........ Do you feed them pablum and continue working or do you try to elevate and educate them and face starvation ? .... Well, I chose starvation in an attempt to bring punk rock angst and new wave senseability ,beauty and creativity to the masses - through dance music. The harder they tried to mold me into the pablum server,the more I was convinced to continue my path. I then was asked to be an on air personality for a mix show on a NY FM radio station,WDRE Party 105.3..... I was once again trying to keep quality and taste at a maximum while showcasing music never used or considered by other performers to date.I was coming close to my vision of showing the lineage of dance music and the multiple colors and styles out there in the world...too bad the masses I have been trying to entertain seem to prefer a range of music with a variety similar to the aperture of a pinhole camera. That is now gladly behind me................Spent a lifetime giving time and energy to entertaining and assisting friends and the public,now is the time for me and the people who have been good and supportive to me in return......My life until now has been about making the world a better place...BUT it was a goal achieved at a high personal cost which I still would not trade.Its too bad the world is more interested in material things than caring and nurturing our fellow man....... I want to thank all of my supporters and friends for a fantastic ,once in a lifetime run but even more importantly I want to thank all the haters and users that taught me hard lessons and ,consequently,are now out of my life....the usurpers to the throne will get what they deserve.....................RIP my beautiful cousins Andrew,Vincent and Mike friends Tommy and John,Alan Upton...we lost you all 9-11-01 and we will never forget.
