Boy Boy aka El Negro Polo is what the reggeaton and Latin Hip-Hop genre has been patiently waiting for all these years. It is fair to say that Boy-Boy's lyrical style don't come around a dime-a-dozen. Raised in Washington Heights, also known as little DR or Home of the Haze, is where he managed to develop the Street smarts, as well as the corporate wits to compete with the best of them. "I never take no one for granted" he states, whether its a well known artist or just fresh raw talent, Boy Boy manages to level out the playing field with everyone. He is currently negotiating with a major sports marketing firm to create an urban latin management company. "at this point of the game, I'm not here to take any shorts" he refers to all majors and indies, after many years of grinding in this business, anything less will be uncivilized is how he concludes. Many refer to Boy Boy as Suge Knight (no pun intented) or even as Dame Dash, though Boy-Boy seems flattered by the comparison, dont get it twisted he is in a class of his own. "I admire the influential empires those gentlemen created out of nothing, but in no shape or form have i reached their respected pinnacles, i'm dealing with one of the most difficult market their is, the Latin market" it holds true that the latin market is difficult to penetrate, especially when the mainstream is afraid of shifting pass their so-called musical standards. It is as of recent that this genre is finally eating.With that said, lets resume with this ghetto phenom know as Boy Boy or as El Negro Polo as many refer him as. Boy Boy has been well seasoned by many musical influences stemming from all walks of musical genres, such as Tupac Shakur (2 Pac), Kool G Rap, EPMD, Biggie, Big Pun, Tono Rosario, F. Villalona, Fania All-Stars, just to name a few. But According to Negro Polo he truly attributes his love and admiration of music, to his father, a well known old school Saxophone player. Its in the bloodline.Boy Boy has come a long way from his first junior HS talent show, in the past few years he has collaborated with numerous world renowed artist such as FULANITO, Magic Juan (Projecto Uno), Sandy MC, MOSA, and many other unsigned artists. In 2005 he performed in front of thousands of revelers in Miami in the Calle Ocho Festival alongside Pitbull, Lil John, Fat Joe, Voltio, Ivy Queen, Chingo-Bling and many other talented acts. He has also participated in many events, stemming from the National Puerto Rican Day parade in NYC all the way to the Dominican Day parade. he's also performed in all the major Metropolitan banging clubs as well as your average lounges "no place is too big or too small for me to rock a crowd".Its is fair to say that Boy Boy is a rare breed of unprecedented talent, that many love to love, and love not to hate. "a legend in the making" is how he puts it in perspective.
