Unflappably fantabulous!!

About Me

****************************************************** My name is Paul and "Paulie" is a nickname that has haunted me since kindergarten. I hate it! ****************************************************** I moved from Massachusetts to Nevada at the end of July 2006. After nearly two years of searching long-distance, I have finally found a fabulous job and a fabulous home here in fabulous Las Vegas! ****************************************************** Personally, I'm always interested in meeting new people... if I sent you a friend request, that means I'd like to get to know you better so just add me already! ****************************************************** I like to shift around my Top Friends often. Wanna be on there? Just leave a comment or send me an email, and you might be in there soon! ******************************************************

My Interests

Music, movies, web surfing, reading, leading a secret double-life as an international spy (whoops, probably shouldn't have mentioned that!) and video games. I also dabble in poetry (posted a couple recent ones in my blog!), and I'm working on a novel. I have a twisted sense of humor.

MySpace Layouts

I'd like to meet:

Fabulously flamboyant fag hags, alcoholic queen bees, chain-smoking headhunters, Las Vegas showgirls with poor posture, cool Nepalese prostitutes, all the people Mom warned me about, and (just perhaps) someone to butter my muffin. ******************************************************

My Blog

Oh, Canada!

Why is it that most American bartenders have never even heard of the most popular Canadian cocktails?  It isn't just because I'm in the Southwest now.  I've also drawn blank stares from bart...

So much for that "new car" smell

This morning I couldn't sleep.  I decided to drive down to the Sinclair's at the end of the block (for my East Coast friends, think Cumberland Farms -- Sinclair's is about the same thing) to proc...

Unemployment, day one

The weekend really doesn't count.  I would've had Saturday and Sunday off anyhow.  Today is the first day that I'm not going into work, and yet still getting paid for it.  What to do wi...

New directions

Sometimes I wish I wasn't so damn observant.  Perhaps it would've been better to have been surprised?  After they canned the CEO and President at work, and then started downsizing again, I'd...

Former employee does us proud

Back in early November, I hired and trained a young Malawi immigrant named Pachalo Chipeta.  He disappeared in January, so he no longer works with me.  Came across this news story today.&nbs...

Fun with telemarketers

I was so bored the other day that I decided to answer my land line.  Everyone calls me on my cell, and I don't really ever use the land line for anything at all.  However, I must have a land...

"Magic" eightball, my arse

Yesterday I had a very trying day at work.  I returned home very late, completely exhausted, and found a beige Mazda parked in my spot.  Since I pay extra rent for a reserved carport, it rea...

Another one bites the dust

I won't be able to sleep tonight.  It came crashing down, in a massive cloud of dust, around 2:30 this morning.  After nearly five decades, the Stardust is no more.  I've now experience...
