About Me

..
..
Here's More Baby Freddy Pictures from my last trip! ..
..
I was a military brat going from state to state. There's no clue how many people I've met and schools I've been to. I graduated in Ohio then went to the University of Central Arkansas on scholarship. My extended family lives here. I always swore I'd never move to Arkansas, but now I love it! I accepted Christ my freshman year of college and began an amazing journey to the woman I am today. Everything is so beautiful and tragic when you realize what Christ has done for you and you begin to experience the tradition of religion in the south. It's hard to maintain any sort of objectivity or liberalism. My dear husband and I are trying though. It's about time I updated this, because my husband and I have now been married for 3 1/2 years and we still have no kiddos. Jason is graduating in a few weeks and then he'll begin that long horrible process of studying for the BAR. I am in my second semester of graduate school, which is almost over thank goodness. I have not enjoyed this semester much at all. I am working at Youth Home, which is a great place for teens with all sorts of troubles to come and get the help they need to go out in the world and be contributing members of society and their families. So, now I am just waiting for the next big thing and trying to keep my head above water.

My Interests

Reading, movies, going out to eat at new places, people, conversation, travel, the Bible, human communication in general.

I'd like to meet:

NINA SIMONE!! She died before I had a chance. A really good friend of mine in college introduced me to her music, and at first I thought she sounded like a man. That quickly changed as I heard more. Did you know she was actually arrested in France for shooting her neighbor's child with an air pellet gun? She claimed that his laughing was disrupting her work!
My Baby Nephew Freddy! Born 06/24/2006 at 7:18am Pacific Time 8lbs 4 1/2 oz!

Music:

I love all kinds, not a big fan of rap, but some hip-hop and r & b, I really love Nina Simone and all sorts of jazz and blues... Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, etc. I also love bluegrass music and tons of country. Then, I love Weezer and Dashboard Confessional and some other Emo-ish bands like the Get Up Kids. Then, I love The Beatles and Elvis and U2 and old Aerosmith and old Bon Jovi. I also love tons of Christian music, mostly the accoustic stuff, not the rockin' stuff. Bebo Norman, Caedmon's Call, Andrew Peterson, gotta love Third Day, Shane and Shane, Derek Webb, and WATERDEEP (they are rockin' though). So, I guess I don't have a category!

Movies:

My husband is a movie critic/fanatic, so I've seen more than I could ever count and I have a whole new appreciation for each type of film and each type of actor and storyteller. So, I could hardly pick a favorite. Dodgeball makes me laugh so hard I could pee myself, and Steel Magnolias will always make me cry. The Exorcist is the scariest movie of all time, and I will never watch it again. The Pianist makes me sad to be part of the human race, the Passion makes me think about the price paid for my salvation. Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face makes me wish that I had been a beatnick :) Casablanca...oohie! So, that's a mini tour!

Television:

*Heroes* *American Idol* *24* *ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT!!! So sad it's gone now! *House* *Veronica Mars* *Lifetime!!* *South Park (I'm ashamed, my husband makes me watch it!)* *TLC-Everything on there* *Animal Planet* * Oh Yeah and LOST*

Books:

*The Bible**The Lovely Bones**Harry Potter: All**Spiderwick Tales**Chronicles of Narnia**The Great Gatsby**Pride and Prejudice**Jane Eyre*

Heroes:

*Jesus, corny I know, but oh so true* *Nina Simone, she was a little nutty, but that's the price of genius*
*My Husband*

* My Dog, Rimshot*
