BERACAH is a six-piece rock ensemble with a mature classic sound mixed with the passion and verve of the progressive scene. Raw talent and experience are combined with professional training and musical education. Three members: Eric (vocals/bass/guitar), Lark (guitar/bass/keys) and Tony (drums/vocals) have had experience in several successful bands since beginning to play out in the late 70's. Three members: David (vocals/guitar/keys), Tim (brass/vocals/keys), and Heather (vocals/brass/trap) have studied Music Performance at I.U. School of Music. The meeting of these two worlds has birthed a sound that may be described as progressive classic rock: rock and roll wired together with subtleties and grooves that the true music aficionado can appreciate and enjoy. That, coupled with thought-provoking and poetic lyrics make for an enjoyable musical experience.Beyond the musical aspect, our music and lyrics reflect salvation through Christ. In one of our songs are the lyrics: "I'm a vibrant child of God, for me too Jesus died, breaking forth from the chains, refusing to backslide". Lyrics such as these reflect salvation through Christ as well as the issues many Christians face. Through an exciting, fun atmosphere, BERACAH conveys the reason for the group being together; as well as the reason that BERACAH desires to share God's love with others. A BERACAH concert/service makes for a challenging, memorable experience appropriate for believers and nonbelievers alike.
