IN THE BEGINING god created the Drum Machine and the cable between (late 80’s) and there was Bassmint productions, and it was good, a musical workshop and Detroit hip-hop instatution. Its world famous members included EMINEM, MANIX(producer) his twin D.J. BUTTERFINGERS, CHAOS KID A.K.A. SNAFU and VITIMAN C. A.K.A. JUST ALOTA SUPER STAR DISCO JASE TRISMAGISTUS. Long story short (there is a unpublished book) the group fell apart and its artists went on to work on there own projects. Eminem made his mark on the world as arguably the best M.C. in the game. Manix produced records for local acts like Champtown and Nacho as well as establishing himself a wordsmith in his own rite. Butterfingers lent his expert turntable touches all over the D. cementing his legendary stylus status. Chaos Kid dedicated him self to social activism. Vitiman C. experimented with producing techno/electro and writing about the music scene in Detroit ,interviewing its exciting stars that dominated the media at the time for Motormouth magazine.
In the mid 90’s as Eminem took over the world Manix, Butterfingers and Vitiman C. along with D.J. Stezo (Budafulla rhymes) formed The Drum Machine in an effort to further the tradition of Bassmint. An extended E.P. was recorded but never released.
In 2004 Manix and Vitiman C. now calling himself Justa lottta superstar Disco Jase Secluded themselves in a house in Battle Creek Mi. mere miles from the factory that produces the world’s supply of crisspy weats&rasins and they recorded “The second coming of nice†(unreleased). Here for the first time you can hear the fruits of there labor.......$$$$$$$ BRIC-A-BRAC IS HERE $$$$$$$ // Jase chotch-keys & Nick Butternack (D.J.
