That Sure Is Swell!

About Me

Oh boy! Well, lets see here, I was born in 1928 and I currently hold the esteemed title of Chief Greeter at the Disney theme parks. I first made my film debut in "Steamboat Willie". My good ol' pal, Walt, signed me due to the fact that his previous contract didn't supply enough money for him and the Mrs. at home. My mother Lillian had actually been the one to give me my name, Walt suggested Mortimer...Thank the heavens Lillian had more common sense than Walt did! Throughout my childhood, I starred in some mediocre presentations such as "Plane Crazy" and "Gallopin' Gaucho". The movie that placed me on the scoreboard was "Steamboat Willie". Right now, my love life is going swell! Minnie and I live happily around Anaheim and sometime in our summer home in Florida. No kids for the two of us yet, Pluto is quite enough at the moment. Gosh! What more is there to say? Well, time to get back to work! See ya' soon!

My Interests

I sure do like to make people happy and see children smile. I believe my job is the most rewarding job there is!

I'd like to meet:

Well, Gee....another tough question! Let's see...I would like to meet someone that reminds me of Walt...I sure do miss Walt sometimes. I would also like to meet someone fun as well! At the moment, I currently have a love at home, so just friends for now.

Music:

I love classical! I guess it's because I was born back in the 20's, but I really don't enjoy today's new stuff...classical does it for me.

Movies:

Well, I don't like to watch myself in any of my films, it's not going to be any of those. I like a lot of silent films. Casablanca and Gone With The Wind are my favorite films. So in general, I like the older type of movies.

Television:

I personally used to be a fan of the television show "The Mickey Mouse Club". I think they portrayed me very well. I like watching it because it's not me I have to watch! HOW SWELL!

Books:

I haven't gotten around to any new books lately, I've been so darn busy! A couple older books I enjoy are Jane Eyre, all Hans Christian Anderson books, and September Pilcher.
