Biography
In the world there’s three type of people, the ones who make things happen, watch while things happen, and the ones who wonder "What happened?" Nonsense, the young prodigy from New Jersey is definitely making things happen, and he has the credentials and attitude to back it up.
Nonsense, standing as an acronym for Never Outdated Never Simple Each Notion Stays Eclectic; has a style that ranges from life struggles, political issues, drugs, controversy, and the ultimate theme backing most popular songs...love. Though his music style is based on those things previously mentioned, he does not limit his creative ability, he instead uses whatever comes to mind to create poetic words masterfully pieced together to create brilliant rap music. Nonsense is often compared to the raw talent of the late Big L, with the lyrical complexity of a young Nas.
In his early days, Nonsense was introduced to the music of Run DMC, Public Enemy, Eric B and Rakim, and many other similar artists. Nonsense quickly became an avid listener to what is known as the rawest and most appealing form of self expression for black youth; “Hip Hop”. Though he enjoyed listening to Hip Hop, it wasn’t until he heard Nas’s 1994 classic Illmatic, which made him want to pick up a microphone and start kicking his own form of knowledge. The aspiring rapper was soon found writing witty rhymes anywhere time permitted, or didn’t permit, whether it was at home freestyling in his room, or in school at the back of his class rhyming with his peers. With a clever rhyme scheme and biting ‘wit’ to back him, Nonsense was soon found investing his money in getting recording equipment, which he used to make early recordings of his work.
After finishing high school, Nonsense had to put his dreams of blowing up as a rapper on hold, due to the fact that he enlisted in the military. Although he kept writing, it wouldn’t be until 2003 that he would actually record more material. While stationed in Japan, he befriended his fellow rhyme partners Ill Will & Jay Gutta. The trio made a group called The Ill Ones, and released a CD called Illmaculate, which sold around 300 copies. The trio also did a few shows in Japan, and received air play on Japanese radio stations. Though those were good times, the success was short lived, because Nonsense was soon discharged from the military in August 2004, due to misconduct, and was soon sent home with nothing but a dream of pursuing a music career.
Upon returning home, Nonsense found his self broke and back to square one, but he still had a vision of making it in the rap game. His dedication led him to getting a couple low end jobs during the day, to pay for studio time at night. Nonsense decided that the best way to promote his self would be by selling a independently made CD locally, and on the internet. While surfing the internet back in November 2004, he found the website www.myspace.com which he believed would be a great tool to market his music online. With the plan in action, Nonsense soon got to work in the studio, and the result was his 14 track LP entitled Superior Perfection released in November 2005. The 14 track CD has already been dubbed an underground classic to those who’ve experienced the upcoming stars work. Nonsense has been featured on various mixtapes, & has been played on college radio stations throughout the US. Unsigned but hungry as ever, Nonsense is anticipating his time to shine in the near future.
