Aerakura were first formed in January 2005 when both Jodie(Lead Guitar)and Jes(Bass)had picked up their instruments for the first time. Later joined by Tom(Drums) and Kirstie(Vox).
The name of the band was debated for a fair while until Kirstie thought maybe the hands of fate should jump in. She shuffled some Goddess cards and the first to appear from the deck was Aerakura-a Germanic Goddess of the Earth and the underworld.
The band started to gig the local area in March 2006 with an excellent response and recorded their first EP 'Twisted Fantasy' soon after.
Unfortunately due to other commitments Jes decided to leave the band in June 2006.
In July 2006 Alfie joined the band and after just 1week of intense practice the newly formed band played their first gig at Heatham House's annual event 'Heathfest'.
The band are now looking forward to gigging the area once again-look out for up and coming shows in your area!
