HOLLYWOOD, CA – A&R Select, Hollywood’s hottest indie A&R firm, announces that Ryan Fonseca has joined the firm’s roster of artists.
“Lush melodies entwine themselves in pop rock structures, unfolding in a bright array of aural colors,” according to a spokesman for A&R Select. “ One of the strengths of Fonseca’s music is its powerful emotional resonance as it scans and absorbs and reflects the spectrum of human feelings.
“Music covers the gambit of emotions for me, makes me sad, happy, reverent, irreverent, nostalgic, excited, quiet, loud,” says Fonseca. “But I think the magic lies behind how it makes me feel.” Fonseca says that music’s power lies in its ability to speak the unspeakable and uses his songwriting to convey ideas that are deeper than words. “Music is the unspoken to me, the words that there are no words for.”
Fonseca reveals that his faith is a major motivator for him. Much of the energy and impetus of his creative juices comes from his spirituality, he says.
“Jesus is my biggest overall influences.” In strict terms of music, Fonseca is quite eclectic, drawing inspiration from a variety of musical styles. “Musically, I jump like crazy from genre to genre, artist to artist. It’s hard to pinpoint this.”
For the song “Vows” (a wedding song on his debut album that was written for his wife), Fonseca made the list of top ten love songs at www.suite101.com.
Fonseca is currently focused on his next album.
