Kunjan began his disc jockeying career in 1993 as a house dj, he started out with dj's Moby, Jeff Gomez, Sir Charlz, and other local djs at a little place called "The Cafe" in Greenwich CT. In 1995 he introduced universal entertainment to the rave scene as a promoter and dj with his first successful event on 3/18/1995 mercury which flooded a warehouse in Brooklyn, New York with 2500 attendees. With a solid dj lineup Josh Wink, Nigel Richards, James Christian, Joeski, Tiga, Soul Slinger, Scotty Marz, Jeff and Marcel Gomez, Sir Charlz, many more, and of course Kunjan himself, Mercury brought Kunjan career as a promoter/dj in the scene beyond his expectations.September 18, 1996 kunjans rave event planning career came to a halt when The First Light event turned out to be a black out. Over 3000 loyal patrons were congregated for this event when the provider of the space breached the contract. Kunjan sued to provider of the space which was aired nationally on The Peoples Court Dancing in the Dark in 1997 with the former New York City mayor Ed Koch as the Judge. The case was in favor of Kunjan and this publicity only then flighted his Disc Jockeying career for the years ahead to the next level, Kunjan as a dj has traversed the nations finest venues from Boston to San Diego and many in between, also Montreal, Toronto, and Ibiza, Spain the music capital of the world with the tops djs of the globe today.Kunjan resides in Stamford, CT. acclimating himself and music collection to the local scene to begin a new journey. He has played every venue that Fairfield County has a dj to offer. Kunjan was voted best dj for 2004 and again in 2005 by the Fairfield County Weekly. He was also on the front cover as their guide for the Night Life issue for Stamford, CT. in the November 2004 issue. Also with his baritone voice he has begun a career in voice overs. In addition to djing at Fairfield Counties 1st annual Sports Night hosted by the commissioner of Fox Sports on October 17th 2005 he was the voice of god - the announcer for the evening.His recent accolade was djing the Country Music Award Show after party hosted by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill at Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC on November 14th 2005.He is now represented by Scotty Marz of kusic media management www.kusicsoundsource.com.Kunjan Ironically, his name means Sweet sound in his native language.
