1999 Women can now wear Dior "Haute Couture" jewels when Victoire de Castellane is chosen to launch its Haute Joaillerie department. More Dior boutiques open in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney, Sao Paulo and Dallas.
2001 Dior men takes a new aura of modernity when minimalist menswear designer Hedi Slimane is signed up.
