About Me

Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Deer

Life in my tiny hamlet is going well. Days are spent helping kids "use their words," creating behavior plans for kids w/ severe emotional difficulties, coordinating with mental health, etc. Nights are spent with my charming family, watching The Wiggles, talking about robots, making tent-forts, etc. Also, I sleep sometimes.

My Interests

Being a good dad, listening to music, watching movies, playing Golf (yes, I'm serious), writing my memoirs, playing the sensational new sport that is sweeping the nation Soccer Golf (again...serious), kicking ass in Fantasy Baseball (Go Beavers!!!) and fiddling with Garage band to create "Mr. See's" thumping new album, "Sees the Day" coming soon from Universal Being records. Maybe.

I'd like to meet:

my doppleganger and see if he's good or evil cause that would like totally help. Other than that, I guess I like some actor folk and wouldn't mind sitting around a table with the likes of: Will Ferrel, Steve Carrel, Rhainn Wilson, maybe Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Matt and Trey, and of course Brian and Stewie from Family Guy. Can someone arrange this for me?

Music:

Constantly, perhaps obsessively, changing. Lately it's Modest Mouse, Sufjan Stevens, Stellastar, and Kings of Leon. But at any given time it could be Clap Your Hands, Iron and Wine, Belle and Sebastian, The Flaming Lips, Polyphonic Spree, Eels, Pela, Devendra, Animal Collective, Elvis Presely and oldies in general. Really, I am forever looking for that perfect blend of pulse and pathos. Punk will always hold a special place for me too, though I'm finding time to listen to it less, from my first Ramones show in H.S. to catching Rancid, Bad Religion, and Green Day umpteen times throughout college. I miss making bad music w/ my friends too, speaking of, and hope to rock out with all my old pals from Bang Plus Systems again before I die. Sniff sniff.

Movies:

Horror in its many forms. From the classics, like Creature From the Black Lagoon to splatter pics from the golden age of gore like Dawn of the Dead, Evil Dead, Dead Alive, Deadly Dead Dead (OK I made that one up). But make no mistake, I don't carry all my eggs in one oversized hat. I also enjoy general weirdness like City of Lost Children, Donnie Darko, heavy drama like Dancer in the Dark, and goofy fun like Harold and Kumar. Movies by guys whose named Anderson seem especially good too though I can't figure out why (Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love, Bottle Rocket, Royal Tennebaums). What's that about anyway?

Television:

RIP 6 Ft. Under, Family Guy, Aqua Teen, The Office, Weeds...all good stuff. I'm even watching the post-apocalyptic soap opera Jericho and enjoying it. Skeet Ulrich is such a hunk!

Books:

Herman Hesse, Dave Eggers, Douglas Copeland are some of my favorite authors. Some of my favorite books lately include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime and Summerland. I'm trying to read more non-fiction too, so I'm now reading a book about how neurology affects behavior. Maybe it will inform my teaching...?

Heroes:

Speaking of: classroom teachers...dedicated parents...those who work in the various social service professions...oh yeah, and really rich overpaid athletes.
