As some of you may know the last few years have been some very hard ones for me. On January 3rd 2004 I was admitted in to the hospital and several days later diagnosed with a rare life threatening bone marrow failure disease called Aplastic Anemia www.aamds.org. I remained in the hospital for several weeks receiving blood and platelet transfusions as well as a round of ATG (chemo) backed up by heavy duty transplant drugs.Since the doctors were not sure that my body would respond to this treatment so I was put on the National registry for a bone marrow transplant. Although they have found me a match I am very happy to say that I am now in remission and have not had to take that road nor do I plan to .After over 3 yr of treatment and constant blood monitoring I am finally off all my meds and body is now maintaining normal blood counts:) Although these last few years have been extremely stressful, I have gained a lot of positive from this experience. I now have a new outlook on life, I am grateful for this second chance I hve been given and plan on taking full advantage of it.Thanks to all supported me through this hard time
