In my free time I enjoy writing fiction, oil painting, fashion sketching, shopping, sleeping, going out to restaurants/ clubs with my friends. I also love to travel. There is something truly amazing about venturing out of your comfort zone and becoming fully immersed in another culture. Thus far I have been fortunate enough to have visited England, Scotland (my family resides there), Ireland, France, Mexico, Cuba (studying politics w/ the University of St. Thomas), Portugal,Africa and Greece....
Fun, confident, laid-back people who know what they are looking for in life. Anyone who is not afraid to truly be themself. People who are creative or quirky. People who know how to cut loose and be absolutely ridiculous. People who aren't posers. People who know how to make a mean cocktail. People who create their own mold.... I also wouldn't mind meeting Paris Hilton, Gwen Stefani, Steve Martin, Adam Sandler, The PussyCat Dolls, Oprah, Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta, Kanye West, Quentin Tarantino, Cher, and anyone else who is talented and intriguing.Get Your Own! | View Slideshow
I love to listen to anything that makes me want to get up and dance (Techno, Hip Hop, D&B) Right now I am currently loving Gwen Stefani and Kanye West. I will listen to most musical genres, except for country. Country music drives me absolutely crazy and makes me want to drive my car off a bridge. No thanks. Some other favorites: Morcheeba, Paolo Nutini, Jamiroquai, Cold Play, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Steve Miller Band, 311, Cake, Sublime, Jack Johnson, Stone Temple Pilots, Jane's Addiction, Lenny Kravitz, Beastie Boys, Ricky Martin, Madonna,Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Benny Benassi, Seb Fontaine, Judge Jules, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Dieselboy, Daft Punk, Eminem, Ashanti, Portishead, Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, Nelly,Rage, Gorillaz... Latin music (because it reminds me of Cuba) I could go on all day, but I don't have the patience. :)

I honestly don't watch a lot of T.V. In fact, I don't even have cable. I would much rather spend my time painting or reading. When I do indulge in sheer mindless entertainment I enjoy watching Law & Order S.V.U, CSI, That 70's show and extreme home makeover shows.
Reading is a delicious respite from reality. Unfortunately, I haven't had the luxury of time to kick back and enjoy a good book lately. Tales from the City is a great book written by Armistad Maupin in 1979. This book follows a young girl on her journey to San Franiciso where she befriends unique and crazy tenants living in her building.I also enjoyed reading The Notebook and The Beach. These books are easy reads that are nice for lounging on the beach with whilst sipping an oversized umbrella drink.I am currently reading Watching the English. This book is written by a British anthropologist who uncovers the cultural nuances between the British and the rest of the world. Being both British and American, I find her observations both hilarious and insightful!I also love to read books that help me improve my writing skills and motivational levels.
Anyone who has the courage and tenacity to pursue that which they love. I would also like to give special thanks to the inventors of Kraft macaroni and cheese and Hidden Valley ranch dressing, without which I would probably starve to death!
