Getting lost in a great book. Happy hour with the girls. Watching football with the guys. Vacationing somewhere warm. Cooking an extravagant meal. Getting a pedicure. Being around a child's laughter. Playing darts in a bar with a good juke box. Yoga, pilates, ballet, mountain biking and hiking. Watching a movie that makes me think or feel something profound. Going to the theatre. Hanging out at the cabin with my family and friends- boating during the day and playing boardgames or cards at night. Reading gossip magazines by the pool. Doing volunteer work- politically or with children. Summer afternoon fishing. Going to concerts or to see a local band. Taking the time to read the newspaper. Getting dressed up for a night on the town. Visiting historical landmarks and museums. Shopping-clothes, shoes, home interiors-you name it. Throwing on sweats and watching bad reality TV. Trying a new restaurant. Organizing my closets. Having my best friends in the same place at the same time.
I love all the people who are already in my life, but am always up for meeting new people and being exposed to new things!

The most influential person in my life has been my grandfather. He was the strongest and yet most gentle hearted person I have ever known. He always made sure that I knew how special I was to him, and told me constantly that he believed in me-He loved his family with all he had and did all he could to let us know so. He loved life and all God's creatures- whether it a bird with a broken leg or a grandchild with a skinned knee, he was always there to help and to make one feel better. He adored my Grandmother until the day he died and was always proud to be her husband. He worked hard, he cheered for the underdog, he loved learning all he could. His life is an inspiration to me and I hope to be even half as great of a person as he was.
