I have been surrounded by music for 20 years of my life so needless to say it is a big part of me. This last year I have become deeply interested in the Culture and Music of West Africa, the intensity of that music is unmatched! I also play guitar and sing and play some piano, why not learn it all right? Other than that, I like to stay active, I snowboard, skate, surf and keep my self in shape. AND of course, what would life be like without going out and having some fun!
Good people with a decent head on their shoulders. Also musicians who are intersted in eclectic music. Finally, any dancers who are lookin to get into the Rythms of Africa.
Without it, the world would be so dull... I have a band called Jet Black Halo that you should all listen to, we play shows, come support and have a good time ;) I listen to many different styles but most of it is music that makes you think. I like Progressive music ahead of it's time: Pain of Salvation, Porcupine Tree, Marillion... I like some independent HipHop: Immortal Technique, Atmosphere, Fuggees where tight too, haha and also, I listen to the high-energy traditional rythms of West Africa: Mamady Keita, Famadou Konate, Fode Seydou Bangoura. That long list of bands that everyone has on their page is soon to come.
Everything from, Old School to Devil's Rejects, movies are great. Some that really stuck out in my mind: What the Bleep do we Know??, El Labarinto de Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth), Planes, Trains and Automobiles...no time to list em all
Not for me, thanks
The Tao of Pooh, haha... many many others
Mom, Dad and the great people who have inspired me over the years
