It all started a little over a year ago in North Texas when 2 brothers decided to start a tribute band. Deciding which band to tribute was the question... Well, the answer was easy, Guns N' F-ing Roses! This is a band that every kid in the late 80's and early 90's listened too. How could they go wrong? After a year and a few line-up changes it all finally came together. Now that all the right pieces are in place, it is time to take over North Texas and eventually the world! Child-o-mine is a high energy rockshow with costumes, props and the whole shebang! Now 2 years into what has surprisingly been a huge success, Child O'mine plays throughout the metroplex and even the surrounding states for packed bars every week. Everytime a Guns N Roses song comes on the radio you can't help but sing along. So let Child O'mine take you back to the good ole high school days (maybe college for you older folks) for an evening of high energy, stick juggleing rock just like the way you remember seeing Axl, Slash and the rest of the gang doing on MTV!!! Check for show dates and times at a club near you. If you don't have a good ole time the band will buy you an ice water...
Nuke - "Assl Pose" - Hi' I'm Assl, I'm the one who sings and acts like an asshole. There are those who would say I'm not acting. Nothing makes me happier than e-mails of nudie pictures (females only), except maybe finding a pair of fake snakeskin boots for nothing at a thrift store.
Eamon - "Stash" - Eamonn Gallagher was born November 18 1979, he has been playing guitar since 14. He took time away from guitar to play pro soccer in England, but never landed a full time position. SO BACK TO DALLAS HE CAME! He can play blues with the best of em and rip out a killer metal lead at the drop of a beer. He offers guitar lessons through [email protected].
Dan - "Shizzy" - Dan began playing guitar at age 14 in Florida . It was the mid 80's & there was a big local progressive metal scene. Dan was heavily influenced by some of the local bands like Crimson Glory, Savatage and Athiest. After high school he moved to Ohio , the state of his birth, to join a band with his brother. During his tenure in Ohio he played in 2 bands worth mentioning. One was a progressive metal band named Seventh Jester, and the other was an industrial metal band called Cyberchrist. With those bands he played numerous gigs and opened for bands like Coal Chamber and Sevendust, and also released a few self- produced recordings which may still be found floating around cd collections in northeast Ohio.
Tired of the northern winters Dan moved to Texas in the winter of 2001. Since then he has kept himself busy playing cover tunes in the bands Dos Guys and Brother Monkey, and he had a two year stint in the band JustCause during which they released an independent full length cd entitled Under the Influence.
Matt - "Muff McCravin" - Matt Thomas joined Child O’ Mine in May 2007 after the playing the cover scene for 2 years with The Backhands who were nominated for Best New Band at the 2006 FW Weekly Awards. Before playing in The Backhands, Matt was in Steadfast featuring Brian Johnson, currently of the country rock duo Whiskey Dick. Steadfast had shared the stage with several local bands of the early 2000’s such as Element Eighty, Black Belt Jones, Carb, Faction, Speakeasy, Flowjack and Dinfusion as well as having a showcase on 97.1 The Eagle’s Local Show with Robert Miguel and having their debut EP recorded by Grammy award winning producer Eric Dellegard. Along with Eamon, aka Stash, he is a native Texan, but is often mistaken for a Canadian from his lack of twang. He is known for his goofy sense of humor and love for anything Star Wars related.
Sparky - "Smack Badler" - Sparky joins Child-O-Mine after ten years of playing the Dallas local scene with several bands such as HOLLOW, Highpoint and Goldshell to name a few. Sparky is a Chicago native and has been playing the drums for 24 years. He got his first drum kit at the age of 4 and his parents have never regreted it. His sister however moved to Canada to get away from the constant noise the minute she graduated highschool. Sparky has shared the stage with such notable national acts as Drowning Pool, Nickelback, Incubus, SevenMaryThree, Nonpoint and many others. Sparky proudly endorses Los Cabos drumsticks! Thanks Larry and Curtis!!! Along with his kick you in the ass kick drum, Sparky is noted for his "flashy" style of playing thanks to his 20 year man crush on Tommy Lee. Ever see anyone juggle drumsticks in the middle of Paradise City...? Well now you can!
