Dizzy X's high octane takeoff uses no formulas at all. Instead they
offer a blend of abilities, styles and enthusiasms uniquely adapted to
themselves on their debut album "Tales From the Iron Pillow". These
songs, released in 2006 on their own label, are the by-products of shared bouts of
extreme insomnia Lizzy and Dante have both experienced.
...........thus the definition: "Iron Pillow".
The result is an engaging, restless and emotionally charged debut full of
attitude, soul and sweetness... from the "Prince on anabolic
steroids" opening track of 'SupaSaturation' to the heartfelt pleading
and unstoppable beauty of Constantine's vocals on the immediate single
'Show Me', Dizzy X seems to do what is next to impossible these
days... creating their own genre, which The Hollywood Reporter called
"Cinematic Soultronica".
With influences ranging from Sly Stone and Thin Lizzy to Kate
Bush and ELO, this Los Angeles based duo is poised for
success and maybe just a little bit of excess!
They have opened for such acts
as The Chemical Brothers and Massive Attack.... Dizzy X headlined on their SECOND live gig at
the Vegas Music Conference with Crystal Method and BT.
The Dizzy X song “Stargazer†was also featured on a Lexus ad campaign that saturated TV in 2006.
Three other tracks from Dizzy X’s debut (Hearts Like This, Wonderful and Show Me)
are heard frequently on MTV’S The Real World, The Hillz and Road Rules Challenge!
Dante Marchi - the former Music Director for Comedy Central's ...THE MAN SHOW.
He has performed and recorded with Slash, Chaka Kahn, Andy Summers (The Police),
Pancho Sanchez and film composer Trevor Rabin (Yes).
Dante can also be heard on television and radio voicing commercials for Coca Cola,
Nissan, Heineken and McDonalds!....And music legend STING
personally hired Dante to perform on a remake of “New York Groove†for his 2006 Sundance Award winning
film “A Guide To Recognizing Your Saintsâ€
Liz Constantine - a featured solo vocalist in many blockbuster film soundtracks such as
THE GUARDIAN, Oscar winning director Ang Lee’s THE HULK and.... Peter Jackson's KING KONG.
Her unique and otherworldly voice is sampled and showcased at the front of Multi-Platinum selling artist
50CENT's video for "Just a Li’l Bit". Liz was hand picked by The Rolling Stones Sir Mick Jagger
to sing alongside him during his "Wandering Spirit" solo tour. She can also be heard sharing
vocals with Janes Addiction's Perry Farrell on the Sony release of "The Prayer Cycle". Liz is featured as well
throughout Tricky's (Massive Attack) soon to be released cd!
Currently Dizzy X are writing and recording new songs for their upcoming sophomore album “Don’t Hijack My Happiness
