About Me

My son is the center of my Solar System, no matter the radius of my orbit.

Roll The Dice
- Bukowski
if you’re going to try,
go all the way.
otherwise, don’t even start.
if you’re going to try,
go all the way.
this could mean losing girlfriends,
wives, relatives, jobs and
maybe your mind.
go all the way.
it could mean not eating for 3 or days.
it could mean freezing on a park bench.
it could mean jail,
it could mean derision,
mockery,isolation.
isolation is the gift,
all the others are a test of your endurance,
of how much you really want to do it.
and you’ll do it
despite rejection and the worst odds
and it will be better than anything else
you can imagine.
if you’re going to try,
go all the way.
there is no other feeling like that.
you will be alone with the gods
and the nights will flame with fire.
do it, do it, do it.
do it.
all the way
all the way.
you will ride life straight to perfect laughter,
its the only good fight there is.

"THE ESSENCE OF ALL BEAUTIFUL ART, ALL GREAT ART, IS GRATITUDE."
- Friedrich Nietzche

My Interests

Film, Art, Reading, Writing, Science, Metaphysics, Western Mystery Traditions, Eastern Philosophy, Paranormal Phenomenon, Human Potential, Human Sexuality... What I'm NOT interested in would probably be a shorter list.

I'd like to meet:

YOU... No really, I would love to meet You. Have I met you already? Have we known each other for years and still not really had a chance to truly meet each other? To contact and commune with that deepest, truest, infinite, and unharmable You in each of Us? That in Us that makes us One? That is who I want to meet.
"You're a star — and so am I.
I'm a genius — and so are you.
Your success encourages my brilliance, and my charisma enhances your power.
Your victory doesn't require my defeat, and vice versa. Those are the rules in the New World — quite unlike the rules in the Old World, where zero-sum games are the norm, and only one of us can win each time we play.
In the New World, you don't have to play down or apologize for your prowess, because you love it when other people shine.
You exult in your own excellence without regarding it as a sign of inherent superiority.
As you ripen more and more of your latent aptitude, you inspire the rest of us to claim our own idiosyncratic magnificence.
Do you have the courage to be an inspirational role model who motivates people through the power of beauty, love, pleasure, and liberation?"
~Rob Brezsny

I'd also like to meet my dad, so I can kick his ass then buy him a beer.
And sure, Agamemmnon too...
What character from Time Bandits are you?
You are Agamemnon! You are popular and well rounded. You enjoy politics, philosophy, and having a good time. If violence is part of your life, you don't dwell on it. You prefer to relax and enjoy life. Your dream is to raise a good child, who would also be your best friend.

Television:

I wish Carl Sagan was still around, making his "Cosmos" series that was on PBS when I was a kid... but hey, I own the box set on DVD so I guess that is close enough.... *sigh*... If the Religious Experience can be reduced to mean an experience of absolute Awe and Wonder, then this show was my first Religious Experience. I highly recommend that you check it out.

Books:

If I had to pick just one favorite book of all time, it would be a tie between Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein and Ishmael by Daniel Quinn.

Heroes:

I have many people whose examples have inspired me; from Jesus to John Lennon to every day folks.
