First and foremost, spending time with Nate is my number one favorite thing to do. Watching him grow has been amazing. I love music. I play guitar and sing. I've been signed to a local independant record label, and I will be working on my CD here very soon. I have a music myspace, check it out sometime...
I've met my dreamweaver, Jason Mraz. Who else IS there? :) Well, I guess if I met Dane Cook, I would have a perma-smile for life.
Joss Stone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Dave Barnes, The Beatles, Gavin DeGraw, Rascal Flatts. I listen to a little bit of everything and anything, really. I like making mixed CD's that have everything from rap to country to folk music.. because that is pretty much how random my taste in music is. I am even learning to appreciate scream-o bands. It's a tough job, but someone has got to do it.
I love comedies. There isn't anything better. Adam Sandler, Will Ferell, Kevin James, Vince Vaughn, Dane Cook, Steve Carell-- they are all geniuses and no movie they are in could ever possibly be bad! If I'm not watching a comedy, I'm watching a horror film. I hate predicatability, and the more off the wall, the better. Some of my favorite movies are, 50 First Dates, 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman, Grandma's Boy... That's just a few. And I LOVE Finding Nemo.. that movie was just so flippin' cute.
I love the oldies, Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire, Roseanne, Cheers.. you know, Nick At Night stuff. I LOVE Nick at Night. That 70's Show, Family Guy, Scrubs, and the show Intervention kicks ass. I'm a big fan of reality stuff. I know, I'm a geek.
I love literature, I love writing. The only problem is, I think I have ADD and I never finish what I start. I'm a big fan of Nicholas Sparks novels, although I've read a lot of amazing literature throughout all my American Lit courses, I can never remember the authors. I loved Emerson's "Nature", and Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights". I have read a lot of poetry that I have enjoyed, many of which were early American poets. Dorothy Paker, Anne Bradstreet, Robert Frost. Although, I have to admit, I'm a Harry Potter fan. I can't help it. Rowling sucked me right in with her fantastical adventures. :)
I look up to many people. All in different ways. When I know that I am not doing something right, I think of who does it the ABSOLUTE best, and I try and mock thier actions. I look up to my Mom for her ability to keep her surroundings orderly, my Dad for his work ethic, My brother for his drive, Jenni for her serving abilities (she was super! Miss you, doll), Robin for her strength and unwavering faith, Niki for her determination. I don't think there is one specific person that has it all, I think that my hero's surround me on a daily basis and I aspire to be a little like each of them.
