Music:
I'm rubbish at picking favourites as they are always changing. But generally I like music to dance/jump around and/or sing along to. So in the right place I like dance music, I have a soft spot for 90's house (apparently it's retro now but it reminds me of when I first started going out to clubs with me mates), I like band music like The Killers, The Chillis, Foo Fighters, Kaiser Chiefs, Blur, Portishead, Jamiroquai, Ryan Adams. Like to broaden my horizons and listen to Classic FM occassionally but I think it's a bit posh for me, I don't like World Music pan pipes are only OK when I'm having a facial. I am forced to listen to other stuff like My Chemical Romance, AC/DC and stuff I don't know the name of, inevitably (and irritably) it grows on me.
Movies:
Big Fish, Betty Blue, Dogville, Edward Scissorhands, The English Patient, Labyrinth, The Worst Witch, The Craft, Ong-Bak, Natural Born Killers, Legally Blonde, Blade (and anything Vampiric), Scream, Some Like it Hot, Shawshank Redemption, Breakfast at Tiffany's and so many more that I can't remember, no particular style anything that's good.
Television:
Saturday Kitchen, Lost, CSI, West Wing, 2 and a Half Men, House, Scrubs, all cosmetic surgery programmes, America's Next Top Model, Smallville, . And of course high-brow historical documentaries.
Books:
Brave New World, Animal Farm, 1984, Perfume, The Secret History, Romeo & Juliet, Harry Potter, Girl with the Pearl Earring, Madame Bovary, The Prince, any Poalo Cuelo, Captain Corelli's Mandoline, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, Isabel Allende, John Grisham, The Shadow of the Wind, The Beach and just about anything I can lay my hands on. currently reading Prince Caspian (and the other Chronicles of Narnia) and Saturday by Ian McEwan.
