Get Your Own Name AcronymI love my family and friends more than I love anything else! My goal in life is to always be there for them... to support them, encourage them, and comfort them. In turn, the lessons they teach me and experiences they open my eyes to make my life worth living.Oh yeah, and I enjoy making people L A U G H . . .

What's Your Sense of Humor?

MY RESULT: Witty

The Cadillac of senses of humor. Smart, sophisticated, and people either love you or just roll their eyes at you.
If you’ve never watched any of those “Brit-Coms,” go out and rent them – you’ll love them. If you’ve already seen them, well, it shows. You’ve got a great mind and a great sense of humor. Now if only we could do something about your sense of style. (Just kidding. You look hot. Really.)

Anyone who expresses integrity towards, appreciation of, and respect for others. However, I do not accept random add requests unaccompanied by a message (which I find inconsiderate - I do not have time to try to figure out why you want to add me) and I usually will only add individuals if I have met them, they are friends-of-friends, or they are legitimate network contacts. Music:

**View 'My Videos' (or click HERE ) for some live video I've taken of White Trash, Baptized by Fire, Slipkid and The Jinxx'd shows!**I pretty much stopped listening to the radio in college so mostly late 70s through early 90s pop, rock, metal and grunge ( White Trash , Toad the Wet Sprocket , Glen Phillips , Firehouse , Slaughter , Chicago, Journey, John Mellencamp, The Police, Boston, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Warrant, Winger, Extreme, Faith No More, Queensryche, Anthrax, Megadeth, and basically "anything eighties"), otherwise, just see my friends list.Good local musicians include Jeff Richards Music , Eden's Lie , Betterman's Rule , The Jinxx'd , and SlipKid . If you live in or around NYC, check out The Unattended , Chris Arbisi , Dave Barckow , Butterbrain , and Baptized by Fire . Wil Seabrook and Natalia Zukerman have impressed me with their friendly demeanors and talented acoustic singing/songwriting. I also like some jazz (Vince Guaraldi, of course!), and occasionally classical and other instrumental stuff ( Earth-N-Bass is a pretty energizing CD).Some favorite songs / music videos include:
All I Want - Toad the Wet Sprocket
Something's Always Wrong - Toad the Wet Sprocket
Evenflow - Pearl Jam
Jeremy - Pearl Jam
Hunger Strike - Temple of the Dog
High Enough - Damn Yankees
The Crawl - White Trash
Minor Happiness - White Trash
'Angry Chair' & 'Man In The Box' -
Alice In Chains
Outshined - Soundarden
Midlife Crisis - Faith No More
Falling To Pieces - Faith No More
The Wild Life - Slaugher
Uncle Tom's Cabin - Warrant
Sweating Bullets - Megadeth
Train of Consequences - Megadeth
Only - Anthrax
Room For One More - Anthrax
Sober - Tool

Movies:

Buying DVDs is my weakness. I enjoy period dramas and psychological thrillers (particularly foreign / indie). Favorites since childhood are Watership Down , The NeverEnding Story , Anne of Green Gables , The Princess Bride , The Dark Crystal , and The Secret of NIMH . Also love Dirty Dancing , Mystic Pizza , Ever After , The Wedding Singer , Never Been Kissed (yes, I love Drew; also have Fever Pitch , Riding in Cars with Boys , and Charlie's Angels ), Under the Tuscan Sun , Mona Lisa Smile , Hamlet , First Knight , The Crow , Spider , The Dreamers , The Last Broadcast , and Head Trauma .Others in my collection include: Girl With a Pearl Earring , Love Actually , Pride and Prejudice , Trauma (mmm... Colin Firth), The Adventures of Sebastian Cole , The Shipping News , Iris , Pan's Labyrinth , Young Adam , The Gift , Swing Kids , Asylum , Quills , From Hell , Sleepy Hollow , Rinne (Reincarnation) , and Betty Blue . Although I don't own it yet (nor have I read it, like Caroline has), thanks to the popularity of the LOTR trilogy, most people finally know what I'm talking about when I say I was named after a hobbit, haha! Recently saw and enjoyed The Illusionist and The Holiday .

Television:

Agatha Christie's Poirot ( schedule ). We only get very basic (15 channels) cable, so pretty much just local ( WMUR ) news, Grey's Anatomy (b/c Denise makes me watch it... haha, j/k... I would anyway), and reruns of Friends, Will & Grace, That 70's Show, Scrubs, and King of Queens and I have The Critic series on DVD. If we HAD full cable, I'd watch Forensic Files, The New Detectives, and Body of Evidence. I don't do CSI or "reality" TV.

Books:

Watership Down , The Healthwise Handbook , A Book of Nonsense , Faeries , American Folklore and Legend (Reader's Digest, 1978), All Creatures Great and Small , and I Never Promised You a Rose Garden . Just finished After Long Silence ; currently reading The Mummy Congress .
Magazines / Newsletters: Consumer Reports , Nutrition Action , Psychology Today , Scientific American Mind , Taste Of Home , Cook's Illustrated

Heroes:

My family, for instilling in me senses of responsibility (Dad), adventure (Mom), independence (Caroline), and sincerity (Steph); my friends; and all people who protect and promote the well-being of others (particularly those I've volunteered and worked with in the EMS & Fire Services).
