About Me
UTAH'S MOST CELEBRATED NIGHTLIFE EVENT SINCE 2003
Ladies...are you tired of being groped on the dance floor by gang bangers and dancing to music that degrades women and promotes violence? Are you tired of hearing the same old Hip-Hop, (aka gangsta rap), and radio music being overplayed in the clubs? Do you think cheesy sportsbars are the only nightlife option in Salt Lake City? We know you're bored off your arse at these joints and desperately looking for something more interesting and fun! So, if you answered "yes" to any of these questions, please read below and seriously consider giving us a chance to show you a global nightlife culture that people around the world have been going crazy about for a long time!
For those that do not know, the Mediterranean island of Ibiza, Spain, is the global nightlife capitol of the world. Ibiza has a hedonistic heritage stretching back more than 30 years. Top clubs, on form DJs, hot bands, a cosmopolitan mix of clubbers, local residents, freaks, mature partygoers, fresh faces, a wide range of sexualities, and the full alphabet of celebrities! Musically there's a wider choice now than ever before - overground, underground, rock, house, hip hop, techno, electro, R&B and not forgetting of course the ethereal soundscapes of chill-out made famous in Ibiza at the home of the sunset set.
I Love Ibiza is a commitment
to all things Ibiza! I Love Ibiza was officially launched in 2002 to expose Salt
Lake City to the Ibiza-influenced music culture enjoyed by so many
worldwide. After seven previous years helping shape Utah's club culture, I Love Ibiza filled the void left when clubs
and promoters abandoned this genre
for Hip-Hop and Top 40. From it's inception, the crowd at I Love Ibiza has been like
a family and the atmosphere is generated from that vibe; there is a unified love
for the music that transcends daily life and provides an escape.
Originally from New York City, and having grown up overseas and being inspired by spending summers in Ibiza, we realized that Salt Lake City was missing a very important element of nightlife culture. Constantly bombarded with commercial Top 40, negative Hip-Hop, and the demise of some of Salt Lake's best dance clubs that offered quality music, we became motivated to reach out to our international friends. Since the reintroduction to the fresh uplifting and positive sound of House music, I Love Ibiza's mission has been to increase it's exposure by bringing this music into our culture for your enjoyment.
What makes I Love Ibiza's club nights different? For one, it's not Hip-Hop, Top 40, or what most people mislabel "techno"! Secondly, we strive to end the scene's stagnation created by the same guest DJs being constantly booked and preventing new music from reaching clubgoers. Much like Europe's high
quality club policies, we refuse to simply cater to the masses-- I Love Ibiza is more subtly focused on taking a total
approach to the structure of your evening with the most celebrated roster of
international DJs headlining today's global music scene.
Since 2003, I Love Ibiza has hosted such legendary DJs as Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Satoshi Tomiie, Hector Romero, Oscar G., Pablo Ceballos, Tedd Patterson, Dean Coleman, Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero, Who Da Funk, Benji Candelario, Grant Nelson, Brian Tappert, Ruben Mancias, Groove Junkies, Raoul Kahn, Bobby & Steve, Willie Graff, Ash Huntington, Matt Caseli, Gee Moore, Jon Sa Trincha, Ron Carroll, Lenny Fontana, Mark Lewis, Jamie Lewis, Deepswing, and many more.
I Love Ibiza's musical foundation is built on the principle of providing a comfortable and exciting environment for a mature, metropolitan audience seeking a more sophisticated nightlife experience. As Hector Romero says best..."This music is huge in Europe because thats their culture. They grew up on this music. But hip-hop and R&B is something they learned from us. So here in America, Ill be fighting for it and I hope for it to grow and get bigger.
I Love Ibiza guarantees to lift your spirit and energize your soul!
