About Me

To put it simply, I am me - Jen. I'm not you, or him, or even the girl that lives next to me. I am me. Currently, this 'me' happens to be studying Music Education at UNLV. The current me is also just a bit different than what those of you who knew me in the past might expect. Yes, I still love art, Japanese, learning about any and everything...but, there is so much more to it. These changes might be as little as say, my hair being much shorter now; they also might be as profound as me being terribly quiet and more in to observing than actually putting forth my own thoughts. Because you see, in the short life that I have lived, I have found most people simply aren't worth my time and energy, if you are - consider yourself lucky. If you aren't - don't worry and move on, I'm not very interesting anyway.

I have good grades (graduated 4.375 GPA) and spend way to much time either playing my piano or doing choir crap. No, I'm not religious, yes I'm a very cheerful person but can be very opinionated and probably come off as abrasive and in your face..but guess what, deal with it or leave...and yeah...talking about myself is kinda boring so why don't we just chat? Movies:

what can I say? I'm REALLY not a huge movie person, but I'll watch them if there's nothing better with which to occupy my time. (i.e. reading - I highly recommend it to those less fortunate in the social feild. It's a wonder what a good books does for one's vocabulary.

Television:

Whose Line is it Anyway, Unwrapped, History channel, Discover Science, Discovery Channel, American Idol, Grim Adventures, Unsolved Mysteries....and well almost anything you can find on the tellie (which isn't a lot sadly enough) that is in some form intellectual

Books:

Well, this is certainly a can of worms, as I've almost always got my nose perpetually stuck in a book..so I think I'll just list the ones I read multiple times.... Lord of the Rings, Silimarillion, Les Miserables, The Things They Carried, The Complete Works of Shakespeare, Huck Finn, every Amy Tan novel ever invented, ditto for Amy Rice, Harry Potter (ofcourse ^^:), the Outsiders, the Hobbit, the Night Trilogy, Memoirs of a Geisha (and Geisha, a Life), the Zanth series, Ender series, Wicked-- and many of his other books like Confessions of an Ugly Step-Sister, random Star Wars books, The Awakening, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein, Dracula, Count of Monte Cristo, Rise and Fall of the Third Reich (hey! It's very informative), Where the Red Fern Grows, The Secret Garden, Picture of Dorian Grey (it's growing on me...).

Heroes:

Individuality is something I treasure and strive for in this world of conformity and repression. I create my own hopes and goals based on what I want and enjoy. Why would I want to mold myself after another person? Seems like a waste of time to me. Complacency is so drab.
