A native of upstate NY, Liz has been writing songs since the age of fourteen, when her first signs of teenage angst (unrequited love) appeared. She has performed throughout the United States, including at the Sleepy Hollow Arts and Music Festival (Kinderhook, NY), the Annual Folkfest in Tucson, and the Seward Arts and Music Festival. Tour Trailblaze of '06 brought Liz and singer/songwriter Nic Engel to Burlington, Boston, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. ............................................................ ....................................................... Liz has performed live for K-Rock Radio Station (Albany, NY), and has recorded at the Clubhouse in Rhinebeck, NY. She holds her B.M. in Composition from the University of Arizona, where she worked with producer Jacob Supak. ............................................................ .................................................... An avid composer of contemporary classical music as well, Liz has had "idego," a piece for solo cello, premiered by Michael Ronstadt and published by ISG publications in 2006. She is enthusiastic about combining classical music with her songwriting, and is dedicated to bridging perceived gaps between classical and "nonclassical" music. Liz also enjoys collaborating with other disciplines, and in 2006 performed "Because We are More", a piece of original music and modern dance choregoraphy, with Janine Holton at the University of Arizona..................................................... ............................................................ About me...I hate acquiring material possessions because they tie me down and I like to be free to roam about; however, I always find myself acquiring piles of shit because I hate throwing things away too. I laugh at everything...no, REALLY. I am generally getting in trouble for laughing at things I shouldn't be. My life is consumed by music. It is all I do. I love playing my cello. I want to get a violin next. I love weird, foreign movies. Really weird. And cooking Italian food. My favorite thing to do in the winter is to ice skate on my swamp!
