I'm happily married to the most wonderful man in the world, Steve. We live in Lenoir with our youngest daughter her man-friend and four cats.
I worked in the field of Human Services for most of my adult life until 12 years ago.
I have formally been involved in Paganizum for 30 years. I was told many years ago I was a Hedgewitch, by the Crone of the tradition I was studying with. When she first told me she believed I was a Hedgewitch, I was not impressed as it did not sound like a good thing to be. She had not told me what a Hedgewitch was, just the word. The word sounded odd and distasteful in my mouth when I uttered it to the rest of the people waiting for their time with the Crone. I was surprised to learn it was a compliment. It was not until later, years later when I found an article explaining what a Hedgewitch was. I had read many other articles about Hedgewitches over the years but none of them fit me untill this one. I guess like with everything else there are various degrees of difference. I continued on with the tradition. I took third degree and later became and Elder, yet I remained, and still remain on the path of my own truths. I do not fit the Green Witch definition, or Kitchen Witch definition. I am simply myself. My connection with nature is more important to me then any Pantheon ever could be. I have no name for God or Goddess, but I make no judgement one way or another about anyone elses spiritual beliefs. To me all paths climb the same mountain.
I have taught craft for about 20 years. I am the HPs of a small coven and a teaching grove. I have on occasion been asked to speak publicly. I do prefer the behind the scenes rather than be in the public eye.

Eleven years ago, I went off the top of a cliff, feet first. A year in bed, 13 surgeries, 5 years in a wheelchair, and the statement, "You will never walk again.", made it impossible for me to work in the field I loved.
By the way, I do walk! I refused to stay in a chair for the rest of my life. I am not graceful, I proberly can't water ski, (but who knows), but I walk.
At this time, I teach Wicca, Work from home on the computer, and volunteer in my community weekly.
My job at home is as the owner of a shop for Pagans. In late Spring of 08 my shop will become a physical shop as well. I try to keep the prices real, and to add new products weekly. If you are local it is possible to avoid the shipping charge and pick up your products.
