About Me

I'm twentytwo years old, I'm from Pendleton Oregon but moved down to Portland and am currently in my secomd term of college at PSU. The last few years of my life have been filled with change and growth....some times to much at once. But everyday i feel more and more like im growing into the good, true and sincere individual that I've always pushed for. Recent events have made me realize how easily good things can slip away the moment you let your ego start calling the shots. I've been very fortunate that when all the walls around me were falling, mine was left standing. So modestness is something i cant help but feel for everything I have....i just hope to never forget seeing I have a lot of good stuff in my life. I love music but can't stand people who either take as a joke or just take the shit WAY to seriously. To quote Mr. Holland, "it's about having fun", so that's all I let be. Just fun and a a way to share lessons learned. I've come up with a theory as of late, that if you expect it, it'll never happen.....so just don't. The good stuff is there and flows through everyone's lifes, but when it'll present themselves is not a question easily answered. "Get busy livin or get busy dyin'" ..

My Interests

A good night out with my friends and actually doing something with my life

I'd like to meet:

Just any true individuals who want as much out of life as I do

Music:

I like music that's about real life. Music that can strike a chord with someone so strong that it sends a shiver up your spine and and covers your body in goose bumps. Artist like Johnny Cash(R.I.P),Kris Kristofferson, The Clash, Joe Strummer(R.I.P. God bless ya Man) The Ramones, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, The Foo Fighters, Probot, Social Distortion, OP Ivy, and Jackie Greene. I don't know, I've become a big fan of folk and blues as of late too so I've really gotten into acts like Chris Smither, Bill Rhoades and The Party kings, Albert Reda, The Norman Sylvester Band"I'm to happy ta sing the blues y'all", and Sheila Wilcoxson. But I really try to keep an open mind to all music cuse it's all awesome and even if you don't like it and cant stand it, it doesn't mean it's not making a connection with some one else.

Movies:

The Shawshank Redemption, The BoonDock Saints, Mr Holland's Opus, The Myjestic, Blow, Lords of Dog Town, Walk the line, The Clash Doc. Westway to the World, Bob Dylans Doc. No Direction Home, American History X, Boiler Room, Robin Williams Live on Brodway,Sent of a Women, Good Morning Vietnam, The Kingdom and Almost Famous.

Television:

House M.D., any of the Law and Orders, My Name is Earl, and family Guy

Books:

Currenlty Reading: "Conversations with Tom Petty". Some of my faves have been Frank McCourts "Angela's Ashes", "Tis" and "Teacher man". Malachy McCourts "A Monk Swimming" and "Singing My Him Song". Mitch Albon's "Tuesday's with Morrie" Johnny Cash's "Cash" and Steve Turner's "A Man Called Cash"

Heroes:

First and Formost, MY FRIENDS. You guys are are what have made my life the rich, fun and good life that it is. And second, This may sound kind of weird considering I've never met the guy, but the person that I would have to say is my hero would be Johnny Cash"Abraham Lincoln with a wild side". His story is such a moving one. One that was so much about what it means to be a human being. He was larger than life but such a real, ordinary person at the same time who belived in love, compastion and forgiveness.
