About Me

Hello everybody and welcome to my page, where the magic of the internet allows to share my music with all of you. After growing up in Boulder, Colorado I received a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance with a secondary emphasis in Jazz Studies from the University of Colorado. While at CU I was extremely fortunate to perform with great musicians and in many different musical settings. I have played all over the country, including performances at the World Saxophone Congress in Minneapolis, Minnesota (2003) and at the Intentional Association of Jazz Education Annual Convention in New York City (2004) with guest artist Randy Brecker. I was a part of the nationally recognized and downbeat award winning CU Jazz Ensemble 1, appearing on our album "CU Over the Rainbow" and sharing the stage with Conrad Herwig, Tom Harrell, Jiggs Wigham, and legendary trombonist Slide Hampton. In 2006, I moved to the New York City area to study jazz history and research at Rutgers-Newark under the direction of many of the worlds leading jazz scholars. Without really meaning to, I became the jazz musicians following his dreams in NYC. Who would have thought? Anyway, thanks for visiting.
