The name is Raven; Raven Daveigh [pronounced duh-vay]Page. Some other nicknames I am known by, are as follows: Ravey-Baby, Ravey-Poodle-Ooo, Rave, Miss Page, Daveigh, Ravelyn, Ravey, and on some occasions, either George or Sock. It just depends on who I'm with.
I am completely & totally in L-O-V-E with Jason Loper, the greatest guy in the entire world. I know he loves me, and that is one of the best feelings ever. There are so many things about him that I simply adore. For example: the way he holds me, how he kisses me, the way he always finds my hand so that we can hold hands, his extraordinary sense of humor, his smile, the weird noises he makes for random reasons, the fact that he always calls, the way he tells me he loves me, when he kisses the top of my head during a hug, his eyes, the way he teases me about my height or my ditzy moments, when he sings dorky 80s music, how much of a nerd he can be, the way his mind works, how he argues when he's tired, the fact that he re-tells stories just because he's forgetful, his weird observations, all his crazy ideas, when he tells me I'm beautiful, how he pulls me into him for hugs, being in his presence, his laugh, when he writes me poetry, how excited he is when he gets to see me, and so many other things. What can I say? I'm crazy about him. To sum it up in musical form, I'll go with the song, "Just Can't Get Enough" by Depeche Mode. It seems to fit pretty well. I love him, heart & soul, body & mind.
Speaking of Depeche Mode...they are one of my favorite bands of all time. Music is an essential part of my life. I use music to display my emotions, to give me something to relate to, to make me happy, to let me cry everything out of my system, and to generally provide a magnificent soundtrack to my life. There are few things in the world that can out-do music. I listen to a little of everything, but all my favorite genres can be heard on the best radio station ever, Sanctuary Radio. www.sanctuaryradio.com My favorite bands include: the Cruxshadows, Depeche Mode [as mentioned above], Bauhaus, Nine Inch Nails, Evanescence, and Marilyn Manson. However, there are tons more.
I'm often told that I am weird. Usually, that's a good thing. It's caused me some problems more than once, but overall, people tend to like me more because of it. What could possibly make me weird? Hmm, perhaps it's...my obsession with socks, my obsession with destroying lint-balls, my love of doing laundry, how I often wish I had the Little Lad Who Likes Berries & Cream Starburst living in my closet just so I could start my day with a smile on my face simply by opening said closet, how I wish the Skittles Singing Rabbit was one of my pets, the fact that I semi-idolize Snow White, and various other things. All of that seems pretty normal. Wouldn't you agree?
I love to dance. I dance as often as I can, no matter where I go, and no matter who I'm with. If that embarrasses the person...oh well; it's not my problem. There doesn't even have to be music. Sometimes, I use whatever song is stuck in my head. Or, I make up my own song. It doesn't matter. All that does matter is my being able to dance freely. I really like to waltz, but hardly anyone I know can do so, though I've tried to teach them many a time. That's alright though...I just waltz on my own. I'm looking forward to attending a Big Band Dance Party in the near future. I like things like that. I suppose the term would be "vintage."
I have an indefinite life plan. I'm 98.999% sure of where I'm going to college. That would be a mortuary science school. Yes; I want to be an undertaker. Perhaps that's morbid, but someone's got to do it. Not to mention that if I can provide come small comfort to someone struggling through one of the darkest hours of their life, by simply making their departed loved one look exactly how they did in life, then I will gladly do it. I like to make other people happy. It's one of the things in life that brings me true joy. However, aside from mortician, there are several other things I would love to do. Such as: Pin-up/Model just like the incredible Ms. Bettie Page, an actress, a writer, a photo-journalist, a web-designer, a fashion designer, a burlesque star like Ms. Dita Von Teese, or running my own famous traveling vaudeville show. I think that would be quite fun.
My family & friends are very important to me. Especially my adoptive siblings Frenchy & Daniel. Together, we make one of the most hilarious & fantastique triumvirates ever. They are the best. Hands down. Both of them have always been there for me, & I will always be there for them. I wouldn't truly be me if they weren't in my life. As a duo, they keep me sane with their raging insanity. For this, I thank them eternally. I love them, as I love all my other friends: Juicebox, Liz, Danny, Fred, Ethan, Tepe, Cayli, Chris, Mego, Rin, Rainey, & Bubbles.
Aside from all of this, I tend to be a fairly quiet person, unless you catch me when I'm with the aforementioned friends. Then, I'm one of the most outgoing people you'd ever meet. I have a very short temper, however I'm usually pretty laid-back. I have been called a "cold, uptight bitch" on more than one occasion. Does it bother me? No, not really. Why? If you take the time to get to know me, you'll quickly learn that the hard veneer is meant to throw you off.
