i am doug. i like to meet the cool folks out and about. i like to cuddle on the couch. i like to toss little biscuit treats to my dog. i work for the manufacturer of mentos and airheads, and i spread the joy of candy all throughout the world. i was raised as a mennonite. i don't like pretention, or stupidity, or general pissiness. sometimes i feel old, but sometimes i feel young; often i feel both at the same time. i like to laugh, mostly at myself. i like to make drawings of little animal-monster-type things. i like to play around with computers, but sometimes i get myself all grumphy. i dig the theatre and all it (and art in general) stands for. i think i'm gonna like this myspace thing.

My Interests

Theatre, music, reading, art, etc.etc.etc. I'm into making Cincinnati a more interesting place to be.

I'd like to meet:

mostly just to squish his little face.

Too many to name, but i like me some Johnny Cash, Guided By Voices, Magnetic Fields, Built to Spill, Pixies, Pavement, Beach Boys, Beck, Belle and Sebastian, etc.etc.etc.

Movies:

Wes Anderson (or most anything with Owen Wilson), Cohen Bros., old skool musicals, Spinal Tap, most any bad Sci-Fi movie.

Television:

Lost, 24, The Office, the Daily/Colbert, Battlestar Galactica, and yeah, CSI Miami. Oh, Horatio...

Books:

Haruki Murakami, David Foster Wallace, Vonnegut, Beckett, etc.

Heroes:

Adolphe Appia, and ya know, The JC.
