THE CRUX originate from the Heart of the South Bay; Lawndale, Hawthorne and Gardena California. These streets have seen the group and it's members evolve into one of L.A. underground hip hop's most recognized and followed group. Being one of the few bilingual hip hop groups has made THE CRUX's fame rise above the rest. They have shared the stage with artists like Jeru The Damaja, Swollen Members, Krs One, Dead Prez and Percee P, and have gone beyond the underground and rocked alongside music icons like DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill,The Alkaholiks,Rakaa Iriscience of Dilated Peoples, Guru of Gangstarr,The GZA and Ghostface Killah of the WuTang Clan. This has set them far aside from the rest. The bilingual aspect and the exclusive talent of its members to flow in spanish and english alike has helped THE CRUX stake their claim in the underground hip hop scene.
Currently working on the 2008 release of their second full-length album, THE CRUX are on a daily grind to produce beats, write original lyrics and coordinate collaborations with numerous artists. With shows already in the books early this year, THE CRUX are looking to book a promotional tour through the states of California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. CRUXICAN LIFESTYLE, the title of their sophomore album is due to be completed and ready for the fans early in the summer of 2008.
The CRUX was born in the hearts of two brothers and two of their childhood friends. Growing up in L.A. has given Mace one, Aziph, Getel and DJ. Radikoe the fuel to make hits with lyrics that the fans can relate and bob their heads to. "This is L.A.", the first single on the CRUXICAN LIFESTYLE album has already proven to be a hit with the fans. The South Bay has been a major influence in the group's music and most of the songs have some kind of reference to their hometowns. Throughout the streets of these cities, THE CRUX have received great recognition from their fans, families and friends because through their songs, THE CRUX do the same for them.
Being brought up listening to great bands like The Doors, Santana,Run DMC and Cypress Hill.... THE CRUX have made and will continue to make music that will appeal to different generations, cultures, races, genders and ages. THE CRUX is also not your typical hip hop group either, their styles are also unique in the way they dress, the way they look, and the way they lead their lives.
Looking to make a mark in bigger markets has set its sights on making hit records that will have people from all over the world wanting more. THE CRUX have seen the crowds, the stages, the love from the fans and they're hungry for more. They have poured their hearts and souls into the making of CRUXICAN LIFESTYLE and have high hopes for the future of their music career.
