Picture courtesy of Lady ReignStraphangers was established in 2001. Having worked on several projects together, Joey and Mike, who go back since childhood, decided to do their own thing. Difficulties in finding a drummer initiated Mike, originally a vocalist, to take up the drums, while Joey's chemically unbalanced ass ripped on guitar. Muppett joined the lineup a couple years later. Having an extensive background working with bands of many different genres, he swings the big dick on the bass. Joey and Mike met Emily at a Stiff Little Fingers/Dropkick Murphy's show. She was tearing shit up in the pit with ferocious energy. Though she is the sweetest person you could ever meet, on stage, in the pit, or on the rugby field, she always fucks shit up.Over the years we have gotten very tight. Our distinct personalities seem to balance us out. Brutal sincerity is our bond and Old School Punk and Hardcore is our common link. Come to a Straphangers show and have a couple of drinks with us. You won't be disappointed.
