Jon Piazza a.k.a Jon Swift was born in Connecticut to parents who raised him on a strict diet of jazz, blues, and Motown. After moving to The Bay Area at age 10 and immersing himself in the lush culture there, he began studying the piano and eventually graduated from Lamont School of Music in Denver with a jazz performance degree. Although his studies are rooted in jazz, Jon found his calling in performing and composing Hip-Hop and R&B tracks as a solo artist and with his band Yo Flaco, and shared the stage with such acts as The P-Funk All-Stars, Slick Rick, The Adam Deich Band, The Greasy Beats, B-Side Players, The Kinetix, House of Vibe, The Motet and others.
