MANIFEST DESTINY - Oklahoma Thrash Legends

Old School Metal For The New Millennium...

About Me

Since the release of All Life All Minds on Crazy Life Records (Germany)/JVC Victor Records(Japan) in 1996, MANIFEST DESTINY has continued to deliver modern metal and still keep their roots firmly planted in the old school. Releasing an even heavier second CD, What You Fear in 1997, Crazy Life deemed the band too heavy for the label's new direction. Refusing to compromise, MD made the decision to stay true to their brand of metal and became independent.

By dishing out brutal live performances and building a loyal underground following, MD have since emerged as one of the premier independent metal bands in the U.S. and throughout the world. The Belgian Press even dubbed MANIFEST DESTINY "The New American Thrash Kings". In 2001, MD solidified this fact by attaining the Number 2 Best Selling Metal CD on mp3.com with their third CD Within .

MD continues to devastate live audiences and has shared the stage with many metal legends, including: Flotsam & Jetsam, Nevermore, Stuck Mojo, Fates Warning, Saxon, Testament, King Diamond, Pissing Razors, Biohazard, and Six Feet Under.

In November 2006, Rock It Up Records (Germany) re-released Within throughout Europe and it received rave reviews. On May 1st, 2007 founder and lead guitarist Brent Wheatley passed away after a fight with cancer. Brent told each member of the band that he would want to see the band continue. Keeping with Brent's wish, Rock It Up Records officially released the band's long awaited fourth CD, Your World Has Died , on September 28, 2007. It is also receiving outstanding reviews. The band was working on a fifth CD at the time of Brent's passing. MD plans to finish writing and record the fifth CD. Keep checking back for more details on the status of the band.

Those of you who know us, know that this band lived to perform the music we love. We never compromised or changed our style for anyone. So, from everyone in MANIFEST DESTINY, we would like to thank those of you that supported us and listened to our music over the years. You Rock!
