Reading, writing, acting, sports, film, traveling, NYC (my favorite city), Hanging out with my family and friends!
Cool people...sorry I can't be more specific at the moment!
Gospel, jazz, standards, r&b, funk, classical, hip hop, some rock, electronica, soundtracks, pretty much anything but death metal, country music, and bands who want to spend their time and energy either complaining incessantly about their problems, playing the victim, or wanting me to feel sorry for them. Or the hip hop folks who just want to talk about how great they are, how many women they've have or how many men want them...."Don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like" Shut up already! Just what I want to do, go into a club and watch all of the non "hot" girls using someone else's pretense to pretend some more!! I'm getting mad, better move on!
I'm not going to list all of my favorite movies. It would take too long. So here are my top 10 in no particular order. 1. The Godfather 2. Lord of the Rings 3. Forrest Gump 4. To Kill a Mockingbird 5. Rocky 6. The Prince of Tides 7. Scent of a Woman 8. West Side Story 9. Citizen Kane 10. The Color Purple
I only watch sports, history channel, or A&E. I don't like to watch a lot of tv and I avoid any of the Survivor, American Idol or 24 shows because if I watched them I would probably not do enough of the things I NEED to do. Same reason I don't do video games...
Various translations of the bible, John Eldredge books, biographies, Thomas Harris novels. I like Grisham too, but not as much. Shakespeare, Thomas Friedman, Michael Yaconelli, Jim Cymbala, Philip Yancy, John Patrick Shanley and other good playwriters , A.W. Tozer, and the like.
People who strive for authenticity, people who get up when they've been knocked down in the arena of life, people who don't feel the need to trumpet their accomplishments, humble people. People who sacrifice for other people. People who generously encourage you with the words they wish others would say to them.
