I live in Rochester, NY and am always up for meeting new people/making new friends. If you are up this way let me know!!!! :) I know the winters are brutal, but it is beautiful there the rest of the year. Of course you can not forget about the food either - Dinosaur BBQ (Better than the one in NYC), Zebbs, and of course the infamous Garbage plate! :)
