About Me

Complex, complicated combination of the deviant and traditional. Sometimes moody. Often opinionated. Masculine, butnever macho. Married and divorced twice. Single now for way too long.
Not a follower of the supernatural. Love of nature, respect for the sciences, appreciation of the arts & intimate connections with loved ones is allof the "religion" I will ever need. Creative and artistic. Libertarian & tolerant. A freethinking independent who is somewhat introverted, but prone tomoments of hilarious extroversion. Playful with a taste for wicked, irreverent humor. A frustrated romantic.
Dislikes: Snobs, Fakers, Friend whores, Spammers, Hypocrites and garden variety ignoramuses. Distrustful of government, corporate media and organizedreligion, which in particular, I believe, does far more harm than good in the world. Suspicious of those who feel compelled to force their philosophy orlegislate their morality over others. Opposed to the current neo-conservative presidential administration and the insane militaristic interventionist foreignpolicy it promotes throughout the world and the continuing assault on our civil liberties within the homeland.
I am passionate about Road Cycling - especially long winding rides in the country and strenuous ones up mountain roads. I love bombing down a supersteep descent! Cycling is a great way to exercise, explore nature, challenge yourself, and find inner strength and peace. Big fan of American and EuropeanProfessional Road Cycling and all of the races.
Music: The most interesting, creative and innovative work is being done within the modern "Electronic Music" arena and its many sub-genres. I willstill on occasion listen to Jazz Samba, late seventies Bowie, 1930's Parisian Swing, Dirty Blues, Sixties garage punk and Classical, particularly Baroque andits master: Johann Sebastian Bach.
Loves: My 12 year old daughter, who never ceases to amaze me with her humor and creativity. Greek and Italian food. Wikipedia. Cycling to exhaustionfollowed by a great meal. Photoshop CS. German culture, literature and history. Reading, travel. Indie & International movies. Science-fiction. Quirkycomedies. Penn & Teller. Favorite magazines: Wired and Vanity Fair. Reading a great book from start to finish in an evening. Astronomy. Politics. Psychology.Lively conversation with intelligent, creative and funny people. Strong coffee. Dark beer. Red wine. A good joke. Interested in Exotic Erotica, Dadaist,Situationist, Surreal, Italian Futurism, Bauhaus school, Constructivist and Pop Art. Spending lazy rainy Sundays reading the papers.
PLEASE remember to give the artist the proper credit when leaving photo or art comments.
I don't add friends on a whim, because it's troublesome to keep up with so many.
Please don't request me as a friend unless you intend to beone.
