Women might be able to fake orgasms. But men can fake whole relationships

About Me

My Manifesto: I am embrace my conservative upbringing. I consider myself religious. I believe in limited government regulation of business and investing, a strong national defense, and individual financial responsibility for personal needs. While I think social change is important, abrupt change harbors resentment, hate and fear. I am most identified with traditional norms of taste, elegance, style, and manners. I say ma'am and sir. I respect authority no matter my disagreement. I express my opinion on election day. I respect those who are passionate about their beliefs, but resent those who impose them on me. I enjoy blood sports. I call it a fiddle. I like detest $4 coffee and techno music makes my ears bleed.

It's frekin' great to be alive and well in AUSTIN, TEXAS. I am one of the luckiest men alive to be able to live in God's Country, listen to God's Music, cheer on God's football team and partake in the BBQ bounty God has put before me. Could you imagine being born in France? What did they do to piss God off?

I am a 36 year old fourth generation native Texan living in the greatest place on earth, Austin, Texas. I am originally from a small town in Galveston County, called Hitchcock, home of the Fighting Bulldogs. I left Hitchcock in 1989 to attend college in Georgetown, TX. I fell in love with the Hill Country and have never been back. I escaped humid nights, mosquitos, hurricanes and marshes for hills, freshwater lakes, perpetual live music and great weather. I appreciate very much growing up on the gulf coast and I miss the people. But my heart is in Central Texas.
My interests include working on my house, PBR and PRCA Rodeo, Texas Music, Dominoes, Tailgating, Hill Country Road Trips and Central Texas BBQ. I like to do all this with my friends.
Me and my old roommate, James, back-in-the-day at Heaven and Hell in North Williamson County: (This photo was taken with a conventional camera balanced on a koozie, a pack of Marboro Lights and a tree branch set on 10 second timer. I almost went over that rail trying to get in position before the shutter went off.)

My Great-Uncle Thomas. The man I was named after. My parents thought a lot of him, I can only hope I can live up to the name:
Check out the rest of my photos and videos by clicking on the link at "View MY:"
Oh yeah, did I mention I am a big fan of the PRCA and PBR? I frequent the local rodeos and I am always looking for someone to enjoy these with. Also, if you want to chat rodeo, hit me up.
I am a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX:
But since we did not have a football team, I have been an Aggie fan since the late 80s...
While at Southwestern, I was member of Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order. Those experiences in fraternity have made me the man I am today. I continue to draw on that very influential part of my life.
This was our chapter house as it appeared in the 90s:
I went to grad school at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. Not the prettiest place on earth, but I made some of my best friends there. SE Texas is full of great people and warm hospitality. While I lived in Beaumont I got back involved with KA. Lamar University re-started a defunct chapter and I made some of my closest friends during that period. Although I don't get to hang out with them as much as I would like, those guys are some of my best friends, ever.
After grad school I wanted to get back to Central Texas. I took some advice from my dad to go fail. He said if I go to Austin and fail, at least I tried. If I dick around and never get there...I would never know if I could actually make it. I took that advice to heart and me and a good Beaumont buddy packed up and moved to Lake Travis. I found a job in property management and after a few years I made my move into granite and marble. I work for a granite fabrication company in north Austin and love my job. I love stone and it's properties. It's rare that a man can say he truly loves what he does.
I love Austin and plan to call it home for a very long time. After coming to Austin, I joined the fraternity of
Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons. Masonry is interwoven in our society as Texans and Americans. Many of the founding fathers are Freemasons as well as the heroes of the Texas Revolution.
Even after being here for 8 years, I continue to re-discover Austin and the surrounding area every time I get out and about. One of my favorite places in the area is our Capitol. I recently went there by myself and spent the day exploring that building and the grounds.
Another of my favorite places in the Hill Country is the venerable Gruene Hall. Whether its kickin up you boots on the wood burning stove in the front bar, pitchin horse shoes out back or standin next to the stage and getin rowdy with bands like Roger Creager, Aaron Watson or Kevin Fowler, it's always good times:
I am always up for discovering kewl places in the Hill Country. I am always up for tryin' new BBQ and checkin' out another dancehall. I am happiest when I am surrounded by good friends and Texas Music. I enjoy these the most when I am in Central Texas.

My Interests

Being a Texan and a Confederate is an inexplicable concept, like religion . I don't expect non-Texans to understand, but I expect them to respect it. I have been to 39 of the 50 states and 2 Canadian provinces, I have yet to find a place I like better. Come see me in Austin and I will show what I mean. Do you live in Austin and have never been outside its confines? Hit me up, I will show you the Hill Country. It is the best place in the world.

PBR fan? Let's talk. I would like to go to finals, but I want to go with someone who likes it as much as me if not more.
I love God, Texas and it's Music and BBQ. I enjoy Rodeo, Dominoes, Tailgating, County Fairs, Road Trips, SPJST Halls, Old Dance Halls in general, Camping and some good ole Ernest Tubb on vinyl LPs. Did I mention BBQ? Oh yeah, I like to do all these things with my friends.

I'd like to meet:

I have seen this section handled two different ways. I'll do both:
Who I would like to meet on Myspace--Buds who like to play dominoes, road trip, go to Texas Music concerts and check out a rodeo. I can be found at Graham Central Station in Pflugerville on the occasional Wednesday and most Fridays. Me and my buds look for a concert on Saturdays, usually in around town. Check out my calendar to see where you can next find us. Come out and meet the gang! See y'all there.

Public figures I would like to meet:
HM Elizabeth II of The United Kingdom of Great Britain.

She is like that girl in Ben Atkin's "Country Girl Angel"--she likes to hunt, she likes to 4-wheel and she happens to be Queen of a 1/3 of the globe.

I would also like to hang out with W for a day, in Crawford.
No politics just shootin' the shit with a Central Texas rancher. Well, we might make fun of Ray Nagin for just a few minutes.

I would have also have liked have know some passed members of my family for different reasons. My Paw Paw because he died when I was three. I carry his riffle. That is the only way I have gotten to know him, through is Remington 30-06. I cry every time I hear that Creager song, "I Got the Guns."

My grandpa (right) and his brother

You are
What Rejected Crayon Are You?

Music:

Aaron Watson is the latest favorite. He keeps it real but current with what's goin' on in Texas Music. Creager, Randy Rogers and old Pat Green (pre-Nashville) are still stand-by favorites.
I have recently discovered Josh Grider--kick ass. The old Ben Atkins Band is my all time favorite. Their album "Small Town Things" has become the back ground music to my life the past five years. Texas Music has become a very important part of my life--and I love sharing it with my friends.

I am so effin tired of Nashville making music to appeal to 13 year old little girls. It's all about the money and not a love of the music and the genre. KEVIN DON'T SELL OUT.

Check out my calendar and you can find where we will be hanging out catching the next show. Email me with shows you know about and don't see listed. I will get it on the calendar and share with my friends. I try to make all the great shows in Austin area when I am in town. Say howdy when you see me out. If you want to talk Music, Rodeo, Dominoes or General Hell Raisin'--I'll let you talk my ear off.

Movies:

There are some classics I can watch over and over including: "Shawshank Redemption", "Giant", "Star Wars IV-VI", anything with Harrison Ford and Most Westerns. "Big Country" is one of my favorites. Generally I like historical dramas.

..

Television:

My television watching is limited to the News and Aggie football. I secretly watch "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers and Sisters" when my Sunday evenings are not occupied--Don't tell..

Books:

I am a big fan of CS Forester and his series on the fictional British naval office, Horatio Hornblower. I am struggling through "The Alienist" by Caleb Carr. Not that is not a good book. I just have been too busy for leisurely reading.

I do read a lot of magazines including, "Texas Monthly", "PBR Now" and ProRodeo Sports News". I try to keep up as much as possible with what is going on in Rodeo since I don't have cable and cannot watch.

Heroes:

My heroes include all those who do their duty for God and their country including all those who fought for the independence of Texas.
Houston Bowie Travis Crockett Austin My cousin, Dustin The Glorious Dead of the Alamo
I also admire and hold as an example, General Robert E. Lee for his chivalry and regard for pure womanhood.
A famous quote I learned as a Kappa Alpha pledge--I still have it memorized :

"The forbearing use of power does not only form a touchstone, but the manner an individual enjoys certain advantages over others is a test of a true gentleman. The power which the strong have over the weak, the employer over the employed, the educated over the unlettered, the experienced over the confiding, even the clever over the silly--the forbearing or inoffensive use of all this power or authority, or the total abstinence of it when the case admits it, will show the gentleman in a plain light. The gentleman does not needlessly and unnecessarily remind an offender of a wrong he may have committed against him. He cannot only forgive, he can forget; and he strives for that nobleness of self and mildness of character to impart sufficient strength to let the past be but the past. A true man of honor feels humbled himself when he cannot help humbling others"--RE LEE

I commend you my dear brothers, Larry and Josh, to our Lord Jesus Christ whose creatures you are. Your souls have departed the body. May you be met by the glorious armies of the Angels. May the triumphant band of those who have gone before you meet you. May you rest in the eternal glory and Salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN
