Unbelievable, The BarAness just fucking killed it. Sorry for the profanity, but sometimes you have to use it when regular adjectives don't work. Every time I hear her, it blows my mind as to why she has not blown up yet. Great for me - I get to keep my gigs - but bad for those who have not heard her yet. As I stated last week, The BarAness spins the realm between soulful and hard house. This past week, she must have been channeling James Brown, this girl got deep and sweaty. Everyone was dancing and if I didn't have a hip injury I would have been out there too. From the moment she took over the turntables, she stormed out of the gate with tracks designed for 2010 not 2007. Almost every cut was like a jab in the gut, she was like the Ali of DJs' - floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee. The dancers were just smiling and lifting hands and feet in the air in appreciation of the extreme beats.
Later in the evening Swanky was given an unexpected beat down with a second appearance this unchallenged Titan of the turntables. Usually after a holiday, Swanky is chill. But this didn't stop the BarAness from bitch slapping every customer in the building and making them scream to their Mommas. So in short, from 7 pm to 2 am the BarAness rung in the New Year as the undisputed Feather Weight Champion of the World. Long live the Baddest Mother Fucker Around. She will be spinning a summer Sundae gig - these dates are not given out lightly!!!
