About Me

it goes like this...
i read to the point of excess, but that's because good books are addictive.
i listen to so much music that i tend to find myself thinking in lyrics and beats and melodies when i wish to express an emotion.
i obsess over travelling to far-corners of our fantastic little planet so that i may taste, smell, feel, be enthralled and threatened and romanced by the variety that is so vibrantly alive wherever my eyes are open.
i am in a constant state of wonder and appreciation for this amazing thing called life that we've all been given.
i pursue myself through keeping my eyes, ears, and heart open. i enjoy being challenged in all possible ways and i enjoy challenging others.
i loathe predictability and the mundane. i'll save that for when i'm arthritic and incoherent. additionally, superficiality and confusion have no place. i demand clarity and earnestness.
i've never been one to quote scripture, but i found something that speaks particularly true to how i have felt is natural in living my life. regardless of whatever name with which you may refer to God or if you believe in a god at all, there is a theme to consider: human decency.
"You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger, for your anger does not produce God's righteousness. Therefore rid yourselves of all sordidness and rank growth of wickedness and welcome with meekness the implanted word that has the power to save your souls."
"If any think they are religious , and do not bridle their tongues but deceive their hearts, their religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world."- James 1:17-27 (NRSV)I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

I'd like to meet:

first and foremost, recently, i've been itching for a decent club fix. so, if there's anyone out there who actually digs trancy house...or any electronica at all, please unearth yourself. i haven't found you yet, so alas, my live electronic exposure has excelled solely in international waters.

otherwise...

for the love of God, be genuine. be real. be yourself. if you must be molded, be molded as this: laugh, play, and be introspective. avoid arrogance. avoid acceptance. converse and contemplate.

it's that simple.

Music:

it comes down to this: if i were isolated from all in the world, i could currently be completely happy (for a long while) with only U2, shiloh, deepsky, v-sag, zao, norma jean, blindside, in reverent fear, greg benz, and...

Movies:

things consisting of zombies and bad acting.
things with tom cruise and bad acting.
things with harrison ford and bad acting.
oh, and camera angles i wouldn't have thought of.

Television:

doesn't exist (except for csi - God help me).

Books:

THE PROPHET by kahlil gibran
SHANTARAM by gregory david roberts
