Traveling, getting ready to travel, and returning from travel - doesn't really matter where as long as I'm going somewhere and seeing something interesting, hopefully with interesting people. Along with this comes photography - I take a crapload of photos. I definitely enjoy the mountains, hiking, backpacking and going on long roadies with friends. Used to love rock climbing when I was in Wyoming but not many chances to do that here in Minnesota, but I hope to rectify this with some trips.
Huge fan of the desert and their exact opposite: ice sheets. Also enjoy hanging out with my dog, good cinema, good food and drinks (especially wine) and of course my research: Geology.
Anyone I haven't met already....and the Dali Lama.
