Actively writing and gigging since they formed, Purlin are seeking further gigs, promotion and ultimately work with a record label!In 2006, Purlin were approached by a film producer in Las Vegas and tracks were used for the Docu-film 'Original Sin'. They were invited to attend the film premiere at London's Leicester Square. They have recently been asked to provide more tracks for the sequel which is due out later in the year.Purlin's debut gig was a headline slot at Manchester's Lateroom, followed by a headlining gig at Manchester Academy 3 to a packed audience. Other venues have included The Ritz, Night & Day, Dry Bar, The Cavern, Roadhouse, Witchwood, The Attic plus many more.
Local press has been very positive and they have been featured on local radio, including live sets and interviews.Influenced by the 'Manchester scene' of the early 90's, Purlin demand your attention and always receive a positive response from audiences and bands alike.

Loose fitting white t-shirt, Kangol sun-hat, jeans and guitar brandished mid-solo: its Manchester to the max baby! Purlin could carve a career as the writers behind Charlatans album tracks, with guitars that wah-wah their way through. Its all competently put together, with a few dazzling solos popping up throughout, you wouldnt be surprised if it turned out these guys used to open for Oasis.
